The Final Call

Hunt or be Hunted. The first rule of survival. Only the strong, smart, and strategic will make it in this world of supernatural activity. Eight different people from different homes and all of whom share a different past coincidentally meet. But they each have the same objective... To survive this suicidal wave at any cost.

"But how can you see something that's not there?"

"Can you see fear?"

"No."

"But you're scared shitless right?"

"Touchè."

Title: 5/5 Great choice. The title alone made me want to read your story.

Cover: 5/5 Definitely a great choice based on the plot of your book. It has a mysterious, haunting element.

Description: 10/10 Perfect description to entice your readers.

Plot: 20/20 The premise of the story is fantastic. I like how you took the idea from the Bird Box movie and ran with it. I enjoyed the insertion of BTS members as characters in the story. For fans of BTS fanfiction, this certainly makes it more enjoyable.

Writing Style: 10/10 The story is told at a wonderful heart-racing pace that fits the tension and horror of the story.

Diction: 10/10 You have a pleasing usage of words.

Dialogue: 9/10 The dialogue is natural, smooth, and moves the story along. It is actually one of your strongest points. Technically, you should add who is speaking more often. Most of the time it is easy to tell but a reader can get lost.

Basic Grammar: 9/10 I did see one minor issue with punctuation in the dialogue. The sentences end with the quote marks but are missing the punctuation such as a period, comma, etc. Also, some places require a pause and you are missing a comma.

Aesthetic: 10/10 Your book is pleasing to the eye because it has the correct spaces between paragraphs, titles, and dialogue. Also, your choice of pictures adds interest to the story. I like how you separated each character's past into a separate chapter. The concept of the story matches well from chapter to chapter.

Originality: 10/10 Although the basic idea of the plot is taken from a movie, each character's journey is certainly from your own imagination. Well done.

Climax: This story is not complete so I decided not to include this score, but this is a very important part of any book and I know you will do it justice. You are a very talented storyteller and I hope to finish reading your book when it's done.

Bonus: This is my favorite quote from the story:

Every day I felt like I was living life on a merry go round. This never-ending spin of a circle of pain, repetition, and pessimism. It felt so good having someone lessen the pain, break the repetition, and share the light from her candle of hope when she herself had so little. If even just for a moment in time, that little girl made me feel like my life was now worth living and worth fighting for.
