Virgil was sitting on the floor, eating a cracker he found, when suddenly the human that lived there opened the door. Virgil jumped up, dropping his cracker and running into the wall. He sat down and tried to collect his thoughts and steady his breathing. He forgot that the human's scheduled seem to change and he came home earlier now. He ran back to his base through the walls and looked out the vent at the human. He put his keys down on the table and looked down at the cracker Virgil left on the floor. He picked it up, noticing the little bite marks.
"Oh no... no no no..." Virgil began freaking out but calmed himself down. He doubted the human would immediately assume that the bite marks were because of some miniature human. He watched as the human threw the cracker away and went to his bed, getting on his phone. Virgil relaxed and sat down. He'd be ok. He'd go get more food once the human fell asleep. After a bit of waiting though, Virgil was the one who ended up falling asleep.

Virgil woke up the next day to the human already out for work. He looked out of the vent, the coast seemed clear. He made sure to grab his pin, hook, and bag. He found the bag from the last place he lived. It was meant for dolls but it worked for him. He had to leave that house once a child saw him, it was dangerous enough for him to live in a home with a child but a human that saw him?! That was worse. Plus, it was a good thing. This house was much easier to live off of.

Once Virgil got himself another cracker, he broke it up a bit and put some of the pieces into his bag. He put one of the smaller pieces into a pouch his shirt had. He gave himself a pocket for things like this. After eating the rest of the cracker he went back to his home. He needed to get back as soon as he could, he was scared of the human coming back and scaring him again. Or worse, finding him. He set down his pin and hook, sitting down with the cracker filled pocket. He didn't have much but it'd last him till tomorrow night. He set the bag down and took the small bit of cracker from his pocket. He set it down with the bag and laid on a hand towel. He'd stolen it and drug it up here once when the human had been asleep.

He heard the door open later, and he rushed to look out the vent. The human had come home and it looked like he went shopping. He had a little shopping bag in his hand and he put his keys up then set the bag on the table. He left, probably to go to his computer. Virgil sat back down by his stuff. He decided he should probably go to bed... He made sure everything was set where he normally put them and he laid down.

The next night he had run out of cracker so he came back out. He had his pin but not his hook, the human was sleeping and he wouldn't have to climb. He went over to the pantry, opening it and slipping in. It was dark but he knew where the crackers were. He went to the right and found them easily, grabbing one and dragging it out.

He got out and looked around. He headed over to the couch, not wanting to go home just yet. He ate some of his cracker as he walked and then he headed underneath. He looked behind him just to be sure nothing was following him. That was a mistake.

(I hope y'all aren't mad that I'm trying to add the other sides into this story 😅 anyway..)
