A Tiny Tale- part eleven: Lining up

          Patton turned his head when he heard a knock at the door. Janus gasped and clung onto Patton's hair.
"Oh I'm sorry!" He gently grabbed Janus and set him on the table. "I'll be right back, I promise!" He walked over and answered the door, surprised to see Remus standing there. "Hi Remus, what brings you here?" He rarely visited without calling first.
"Oh! Sorry, I just need to show you someone.."
Someone? Not something?
"Ok..?" Remus then held his hand out, showing him Roman. He bounced up and down, excitedly talking about how he'd found a tiny person. He suddenly stopped and pulled Roman to his chest as he realized that'd probably scared him, or hurt him. Roman looked to be a bit dizzy but after a few seconds he smiled at Remus, showing him he was fine, but he could feel thing tiny thing trembling. Than he looked back up to Patton.
"Maybe this wasn't a good idea... I should head back home." As he was about to leave when Patton reached out and grabbed his arm, not roughly but firmly enough to get him to stop. Roman flinched away from the incoming hand but calmed back down when it only grabbed Remus' arm. Patton noticed and apologized for startling him before looking back to Remus.
"Before you go I need to show you something, it's important." Remus looked down to Roman than back up to Patton, he had a pleading face so Remus gave in.

As they headed inside Remus cupped Roman next to his chest. Roman was nervous but he felt safer cupped next to Remus than being out in the open. Remus began feeling really guilty about all of this..

Patton walked over to the coffee table but Janus wasn't there anymore.
"Janus..? It's ok, you can come out. I just need you to meet someone, you won't be hurt."
"Am I really going to continue hiding? Patton has been so nice to me, he'd never let me get hurt.. and I don't wanna make a fool of him in front of whoever's come over..." Janus had been hiding under the table and didn't heard a word of the conversation between Patton and Remus. He slowly came out from under the table and Patton set his hand down for Janus. He slowly climbed up but made sure he was facing Patton. Patton looked down at him and smiled his soft smile.
"I think you'd much rather see them." He said gently.

Janus turned around to see another human with his hands to his chest and a surprised look on his face. He got much more worried upon seeing him. He was so much taller than Patton..
"This is Janus, Janus, this is Remus! Show him the other one." He looked up to see Patton smiling and when he turned back around Remus had his hands down and Janus gasped when he saw another tiny. He was facing away from him but turned swiftly in return to the gasp. He looked at Janus with wide eyes.
"Meet Roman!" Remus said. Janus stood up and walked to the edges of Patton's fingers, trying to get a closer look. Roman looked surprised to see him go to the edges of the human's fingers but Janus trusted that Patton wouldn't let him fall.

"You're like me.." Janus stared at Roman who hadn't spoken at all yet. Roman looked up to Remus, than Patton, and then back to Janus. He stood up too but held Remus' finger tightly. Janus could tell Roman hadn't been near Remus for too long, but he seemed to trust him quite a lot.
"I-I'm Roman.. nice to meet you." Roman gave him a bright smile, hiding all his fear, but Janus could see straight through him. He looked up to Patton.
"Can I go to Roman..?" Patton nodded and set him down on Remus' hands. Remus seemed surprised but Janus didn't pay attention to that, he tried not to think about Remus at all. He was a bit nervous to be in other person's hands but he wanted to make sure Roman was ok.
