(Sorry for posting late..)
Virgil thought about wether he'd like to leave or stay and he thought about what he should say. At this point he didn't care how the human would react, he just wanted to say what he actually wanted.
"I'd like to be able to roam free but you seem nice... I'd like to leave the cage though..." Virgil looked at Logan who seemed slightly surprised.
"I was expecting you to leave the entire house... You're still ok with staying here?" Virgil felt a wave of relief as he realized the human wasn't trying to trick him.
"I mean... You seem nice and I like it here.. So yeah." Logan seemed surprised but nonetheless he still picked Virgil up to let him leave. This time Virgil didn't gasp or flinch. He never expected it but he actually trusted Logan..
Once he was set on the ground Virgil looked up to the human. He had forgot how tall he was... He waved a small goodbye than took a few steps toward the wall. After Logan made no attempt to snatch him back up he felt truly free again. He darted back to the wall and left the room to find an entrance to his home.
Once he got back to his own room he sighed with relief. He never thought he'd see his home again. He looked over to his hook, which was still laying there, waiting for him. His pin was gone and he had no idea what happened to his pouch but he still had his pocket. Plus, now that he knew the human and knew he was nice, he wouldn't have to be so scared anymore. Of course he would still try to wait for night to get stuff... It was just instinct and he felt a bit safer doing so.
That night he went out to get food but he hadn't had to travel far. He saw a pretzel and a cracker laid out on the floor. He gasped,
"Did Logan set that out for me??" He walked up to the food and smiled. He put the pretzel in his pocket. Sure, it stuck out a lot but it was the easiest and fastest way to carry everything. He grabbed the cracker and carried it all up to his room. He set the cracker down and began to eat some of the pretzel. Once he ate about half of it he felt full and went to sleep.
He looked out the vent when he woke up the next day. Today was probably the start of the weekend. When looked out he saw Logan building a picture. He wanted to see what it was up close though.. It seemed like it'd fun to help him build but he was worried Logan might get mad for interrupting his picture building. He mustered up some courage though and ended up leaving and walking over to him. Right before Virgil was about to speak up though all his confidence drained out of him as tons of thoughts flooded his mind. What if Logan got mad? What if he messed it up? What if-
"Virgil?" Logan's voice cut off all his thoughts and he looked up to find him staring at him with questioning eyes. Virgil didn't know what to say, it was stupid to have come out here and bother him...
"Do you need something?" Logan pulled him out of his thoughts again.
"No, not really... I just saw you building the picture and.. I-it doesn't matter, I can go and leave you alone..." Virgil began to head off when he felt Logan's hands scoop him up and he found himself on the table.
"This is called a puzzle.. but yes I am building a picture, would you like to help?" Virgil looked from Logan to the puzzle.
"Yeah.. That'd be nice."
And that's the end of Virgil and Logan's beginning thingy.. I'm not gonna try and fit all the characters into one story like this anymore O-0 it's kinda weird to me but ima finish this story.. so yeah,
