Patton opened his eyes and shot up. He started to breath heavily again and then he saw Roman and felt Virgil's hand on his shoulder. He calmed down and looked to them. He looked around and saw a bit of little sunlight dance through the room's windows.
"What time is it...?" Virgil was silent and Roman paused. He laughed nervously.
"Uh- well it might be 4:45am..." Patton gasped.
"D-did you guys stay up all night?!" Virgil looked down to his feet.
"We wanted to be awake when you woke up.." Patton sent him a small smile then looked up to Roman.
"So uh... how long was I asleep?"
"Only for- a day.." Roman yawned in the middle of his sentence. Patton feel guilty for all this...
"You guys should've slept..." Roman shrugged.
"Eh, I'm fine, and Virgil can sleep during the day if he needs." Patton looked back to Virgil. "Anyway, I'm gonna try to get at least a little sleep before work today..." Patton nodded and the other two went to their beds. He laid down and stared at the ceiling. If he hadn't freaked out in the car or just listened to Virgil when he had tried calling him down then they wouldn't have stayed up all night... He thought about the car drive until Roman woke up.

Roman had set an alarm which startled Patton. He gasped and tucked his legs to his chest. Virgil also woke up but he settled down and went back to sleep the second the alarm was turned off.
"Sorry about that Patton." He nodded.
"Uh.. before you go.. W-would you ever give me away...? Or give me back?" Roman's eyes widened a bit and he shook his head.
"Not unless you wanted me to.." Patton thought another moment.
"What if.. What if my old owner tried to get me back? Would you give me back then?" Roman shook his head again.
"When I first found you, you had fallen out of a bird's nest. Your old.. owner.. obviously wasn't good at taking care of you. Not to mention the bruises you have... and how you flinch... I know you couldn't have gotten those bruises from falling." Patton looked down and smiled a bit. That was kind of comforting but he was still scared... "Why?"
"Oh.. n-no reason..." Roman didn't push it, just nodded a bit and left the room with some clothes.

After a few minutes Roman came back to the room with a cracker. He spilt it in half and set it on the nightstand. Patton smiled up to him and he smiled back.
"Well, I gotta go to work, bye!"
"Goodbye!" Patton watched as Roman left then he looked back to Virgil. He was still asleep, Patton doubted he'd be up anytime soon though, he seemed really tired all time.

When Virgil finally woke up he looked over. He jolted up when he noticed Patton was gone. He got out of bed and walked over to check if he was just under the blanket or something. Nope. He started to call out for him.
"Patton? Patton!" Patton poked his head over the top of the nightstand.
"Oh! Virgil you're awake! I got bored so I tried going down the stairs..." Virgil sighed.
"Patton, you're gonna hurt yourself." He walked over and helped him so they were on the floor. "Why did you even want to get down here anyway?"
"I've never seen the house from down here and you were asleep so I figured, why not?" Virgil shook his head and Patton tried continuing forward. Virgil pulled him back.
"Don't put any pressure on your foot!"
"Then I guess you're gonna have to help me and come look at everything with me!" Virgil sighed again as he rolled his eyes.
"Fine." He had a small smile tugging at his lips but he didn't dare show it.

After Patton was done looking at everything Virgil helped him back up the nightstand. Virgil flopped onto his bed. He had been holding Patton up the entire time, it was extremely tiring, but Patton seemed to be enjoying himself so he didn't say anything. Patton sat up and looked around for a moment then he turned to Virgil.
"Could we play another game?"

Patton jumped up when they heard the front door open and close. When Roman entered the room Patton turned to Virgil and smiled. He smiled back and Patton's eyes lit up.
"How was today?" Virgil shrugged.
"We used the stairs and looked around at everything from the floor!" Roman smiled.
"Sounds fun?" Roman left the room and Virgil turned to Patton.
"Other than the birds nest.. What's it like outside?"
"Well it's kinda calm and cool if you aren't in danger..." Virgil nodded and looked back to the doorway.
"Do you think Roman would let us go outside?" Patton thought for a moment. He didn't really want to go back outside but if Virgil asked Roman he'd probably allow them to.
"Roman seems to be fine with letting us do whatever... So I'd assume yes."
