After a bit of a pause he began to speak again.
"I-I'm V- ... I'm V-Virgil..." he managed to sputter out before cowering from the human. Logan backed up a bit, realizing he'd never gotten that close to him for so long before.
"I'm sorry... I was just surprised you knew English.."
Virgil looked up at him. He felt uneasy and he began to breath much to quickly. He felt so scared... Before he knew it, he had passed out.

When he woke up he found himself in the human's hand. He almost freaked out until he noticed the way the human was looking towards him. Logan looked down at him with.. worry? He actually cared about Virgil... He settled down a bit and sat up in his hands, but he was still quivering. Logan seemed relived once he noticed that Virgil had woken up.
"Are you ok? You had passed out, presumably from hyperventilating." Virgil was still rather surprised the human cared for him and he still wasn't used to talking. Logan seemed to notice his unease and set him back down in the bird cage. This time though he didn't close it, probably keeping in mind what Virgil said about not being a pet. He was glad, the cage always made him uncomfortable but with it open like this he felt a bit better, even though he knew it didn't mean he could leave..

He stood up and walked over to the cloth, sitting down before looking up to Logan.
"Umm... to answer your question, yeah.. I feel better now... t-thanks." He fidgeted in his spot when the human didn't say anything back. Logan noticed this and gave him a tiny smile, trying to show him that everything was fine.
"So.. you still need food I assume? Would you still like me to get food for you? I know you said you weren't a pet, I'm just trying to help.." Virgil smiled softly, trying to get rid of his anxiety. Logan didn't seem to want to hurt him... He seemed to be telling the truth but in the back of his mind he was still sort of scared of him, and all this showed was he would probably keep him here forever.. but he couldn't think like that.
"T-that'd be fine.." Logan than left to get him some food, obviously..

Virgil sat there for a while. He would much rather be aloud to roam free but he was way to scared to even bring that up. He'd like to believe the thought that if he asked, then the human would set him free. If he were to ask and Logan said no.. that'd probably make him lose all hope... Back when he lived at an apartment building he was told to always have hope from another tiny, and he wanted to stick to their advice.

When Logan came back he had a cracker. It'd been a while since Virgil had eaten a cracker and he was actually rather excited to get one. Logan set the cracker in the bird cage and Virgil started to eat it. Then Logan sighed. That made Virgil nervous, what was bothering someone as tall as Logan?
"Probably just work stuff.." He thought, trying to reassure himself he was safe here.
"Hey Virgil? I have a question.." Oh no.. Virgil hoped it didn't involve the questions he heard Logan mutter when he first caught him. It was long ago but the fear Virgil felt during that moment caused him to remember the whole thing like it had just happened.

"Y-yeah?" He set his cracker down to focus on whatever question Logan was about to ask.
"I probably should've tried to find this out earlier but.. would you want to leave?" Virgil's eyes went wide. Was it a trick question?? Was he trying to see if he needed to lock him up again or was he trying to see if he should let Virgil free..
