(trigger warning)

I would've walked through hell
to find another way
I would've layed me down
if i knew that you would've stayed
I would've crossed the stars
to keep you in my life
But now im falling hard
without you here tonight

Third POV

Daniel gave up on Lou a week ago...

He spent his last few days at the gym. Pushing every single punching bag he could until his knuckles were red and about ready to burst open.

He accidentally broke one and had to clean the sand up at four a.m. while everyone else at 501 Estates were sleeping.

He went out to eat by himself, didn't sit by anyone at UNC, and didn't stay on campus if he didn't have to. Most of the time he was at his apartment.

Locked inside the room no one was allowed in. He stayed in there and came out only to eat, sleep and take showers.

Speaking of showers he spent most of his time there as well. In the shower with cold water running down his back. Washing his almost brunette hair due to the lack of times he has been to the hairdresser.

Running his fingers through it as he bent down, feeling the water sprits onto his already tingling skin

Running his fingers through it as he bent down, feeling the water sprits onto his already tingling skin. Daniel felt as if he was drowning. That he was losing it all. Trying to grip onto the side and pull himself up when he needed someone there for him.

No one was there for him.

Lou had given up on him, his family didn't care and even his friends were acting strange around him. All Daniel had was himself.

He tried desperately not to think about it or anything. He had dropped out of art and photography knowing it wasn't what he wanted to do in life anymore.

There was so much more on his mind that he needed to think about. Getting out of North Carolina was one of them. Finding his siblings was next on the list. He wanted to run far far away from his problems.

That's all he knew.

So with that, he booked a flight to California from December 2nd to December 12th. Thankfully Christmas break starts December 1st and doesn't end until a week after New Years'. Something Daniel wasn't looking forward to.

2018 was already enough and he knew it would only get worse. Just like everything else.

Daniel was done with everything. He found no purpose anymore. There was no reason for him to be there.

He felt absolutely nothing. His eyes bloodshot, his attitude getting worse. Everything in his mind started to spin for the entire week.

Starting on the day Lou told him she couldn't love him. He went straight to the bar and got practically everything they served to make him numb.

Daniel was drunk when he went to see her but he remembered every word that fell from her mouth and his. He loved her. He knew straight up in his mind that he was so deeply and madly fallen for her. That he wanted her and needed her whether he was selfish or not.

That he didn't wanna move on. He didn't like seeing her with new people. He was furious. His veins bulging on his forearms as he clutched the railing as he watched Lou kiss her new guy. Daniel wanted to strangle his neck and punch him.

It took every ounce in him to not go over there and make things even worse. Moving onto the next day Daniel spent the day at Lara's place. He was with her all day...until the second he spat Lou's name out when he came. He made sure to cover it up and play it off as her name just with a moaned in mixture.

Daniel was worked up too much in his mind. Believing what he wanted to see. His thoughts in his mind running wild and loose in the ways he wanted it to.

The third day Daniel spent the night at a local bar near campus. Maisy his bartender insisted he stayed and rearranged her guts upstairs in her bed. Apparently, she owned the bar and had other intentions for the way her night should've gone.

On the fourth and fifth day, Daniel cried. He convinced himself that punching his problems away and drinking or getting high did nothing for him. He wanted the motivation and closure to move on.

The sixth and seventh day were spent in the locked room. Just Daniel by himself with what he did in there. Stuck in his mind and thoughts but he let them run wild in that room. He stayed up late daily in there. Fixing his problems and turning them into something better.

He had heard rumors that Lou broke up with her so-called Andrew guy. Daniel felt nothing when he heard that. He wanted out of Lou's life. That's what she wanted too as to what Daniel's mind thought. She didn't want him like he wanted her. He needed to be okay with that. He was fighting every ounce in his body to go back to her and beg. He knew better as much as his heart tried to beat out of his chest.

He didn't have a reason to do anything anymore.

Daniel didn't wanna live.

He knew no one would care.

No one would give a damn about him.

So his thoughts were settled on the eleventh of November.

A ticket bought for nothing? College built for no future? It didn't matter to him. All that mattered was getting rid of the pain.

And tomorrow everything would be put to an end...
