Sam had fallen asleep in his arms; straddling him, exhaling warm breathes on his sensitive spot. He couldn't suppress his arousal. Her delicate hands wrapped around his neck, her soft yet toned body pressed against his torso, her soft, rounded rears resting on his lap, her shapely legs wrapped around his waist- his senses were truly overloaded. The lump in his pants was quite obvious by this point.
It was nearly two in the morning. He was still sitting in the same position. Silence prevailed in every direction. Only their synchronised breathing and an occasional bark of some random street dog could be heard. Late nights often re-introduced David to his vulnerable self. He was remembering all those moments when he had desperately wanted to pull Sam against him and tell her about his every single worry, reasons behind his all those otherwise unintelligible actions, reason behind almost pushing her away from him.... how he wished he could say her everything when Sam said she missed him.... But maybe, some things aren't meant to be said.
Sam shifted from a deep deep sleep to slumber. Her shirt for some reason was clinging onto her skin, it also felt a little bit cold at those spots. She frowned while still floating in subconscious realm.
He tried to remain calm but David's eyes betrayed his feelings. He didn't even realise when his tear glands started secreting their precious liquid. Tears oozed from his eyes, rolling down his cheeks onto her back, wetting the shirt.
She was out of her slumber when she felt something quivering against her. She was terrified for a few moments before recollecting her thoughts. Her head was aching, probably she has drunk way too much again. A familiar smell penetrated through her olfactory senses. She knew now what was, or rather who was, that quivering mess. She heard a soft sob near her ear, "Sorry..". She could feel his breathing grow erratic. She felt a pang in her heart.
That small "sorry" reduced her to a heartbroken lump of emotions. She didn't know why he was sorry, she didn't even know why he was sobbing so badly.. she didn't know anything except that she wanted to coo his heart down to peace, shoo away all this pain.
"Sorry.. sob.. I can't survive like this.. sob sob sob.. I can't get you.. sob.. out of my... Sob sob sob" His muscles trembled struggling to inhale, " I don't know how I can pretend to be.... sob.. forgive me.. you don't deserve this fucked up friendship. "
Pretend to be what??? What David???
Just speak, damnit!!Her heart was in turmoil. She needed to know what made him so sad, so broken down from inside. But she didn't move or talk fearing this would make him awkward. If only she could tighten their hug! But now all she could do was only wait patiently for him to calm down.
"Bambi... I can't keep this friendship anymore."
She felt a heavy weight crushing her heart, shattering it into pieces.
"Because I am not okay being your friend anymore. I must go away from your lives. Pete.. I am so sorry.. sob.."
"Am I so disgusting that you don't even want to keep this friendship anymore?" Sam's heart was about to burst in pain when she heard something she could otherwise only imagine in her dreams.
"I like you.. No.. I love you.. I have loved you for so many years now.. I don't even know how I could fall for you. You are off limits. For God's sake, you are Pete's sister.... Sob sob sob.."
This sudden confession magically erased all the residue drunken ass particles left in her body. Her heart swelled due to sudden jittery happiness. She wanted to scream out loud, like so badly. Just like how she screams everytime she sees her "ships" making out.
