jim's pov

i raise my hand and shout:
"dwight tried to kiss me"

"what?" my boyfriend, or rather, secret boyfriend says.

"and i didn't tell anyone 'cause i'm not really sure how i feel about it"

"that is not true, redact it. REDACT IT"dwight says with a surprised and questioning look.

"well i'm not making a formal complaint, i just really think we should talk about it"

"okay question: when a name is withdrawn, does that also apply to the permanent misbehaviour file in new york?"

"sure" toby says.

dwight looks at me with wide eyes, probably shocked that i just said that. i don't know why i did, i just found it funny. what's even funnier is how everybody was convinced it was fake.

i mean, i understand, nobody would expect dwight to kiss me. except he did, since we've been dating for 3 months now.

i sit down in the break room and dwight sits next to me. he looks around to make sure nobody can see us.

"why the hell did you do that earlier?"
"calm down dwight i just thought it was funny... what's even funnier is they all thought it was fake"
"you say it like you didn't kiss me back when i kissed you for the first time, it's not like i tried to kiss you and you pushed me back"
"i know, would you rather if i told the rest of the story to everybody?"
"don't! just don't go around and make joke about that, people are gonna know we're dating if you do that"
"they won't find out, they all think we hate each other"
"we should tell them eventually"
"we will, i love you too much to stay hidden forever"
"i love you too schatz"
"what does sch- what you just said, mean?"
"oh erm, it means honey in german"
"that's cute... you never call me pet names"
"i know... i just felt like it"
"i love you honey"

"when were you going to tell me you guys are dating?" pam says as she enters the room.
dwight looks at me with wide eyes.

"we aren't dating"i say.
"bullshit! you are definitely dating"
"how- how did you know?"i ask, looking down.

"i've had doubts for a while now, but come on! i see the way you look at each other, you always eat lunch together and sometimes you arrive at the office in the same car! and i heard the discussion you just had..."

"...oh. yeah we've been dating for about 3 months now"
"i can't believe you didn't tell me! i thought we were best friends"
"i was gonna tell you! eventually... it was just easier to keep it a secret"
"you really thought i would judge you or something?"
"i- i don't know"
"i would never, you're so cute together!"
"thank you... and you said you heard our discussion, for how long have you been spying on us?"
"oh... i saw dwight sit with you in the break room and acting suspicious so i wanted to know why..."
"so the whole time, great..."
"i'm sorry..."
"it's okay"
"so, how did you started dating?"
"oh i don't know if i want to tell that..."i say.

"i can tell it"dwight adds.
"great!"pam says.
"jim went to sleep at my bed and breakfast, as a prank i guess-"
"yes it was a prank"i say.
"so yeah, as a prank. we spent all day, doing activities on the farm, and for dinner mose left, so we were alone. i don't really know why, but our dinner really felt like a date...?"
"i know why, because i liked you and kept making jokes and complimenting you..."i add, making pam giggles.
"yeah, maybe that, or the fact i liked you too and faked that your jokes were funny?"
"my jokes weren't funny?"
"i don't know... maybe they were but i didn't understand them"
"you faked to make me happy?"
"yeah"
"that's so cute dwight... i love you"i say while gazing deeply into his blue eyes. he looked away and continued his story.
"anyway, after dinner, when it was time to go to sleep, mose forced me to read him a story and jim came with me. we kept smiling at each other and jim looked so hot like that... when we got out of mose's room, i kissed him"
"and i kissed you back..."i add.
"and the rest of the story isn't important, and really inappropriate"he says before chuckling, making me chuckle too.

"aww that's so cute! you guys make a really good couple"pam says.
"thank you beesly"
"...thank you pam"dwight says.

other people arrive in the break room so we stop talking about it and we discuss about random things.

but dwight is still holding my hand under the table...
