"i can't believe you're gonna wear that to work" jim said, amused that dwight was actually wearing his volunteer sheriff's deputy uniform, only for a joint he found in the parking lot. "it's not that big a deal" he said.

"yes it is! illegal drugs were found on the premises of dunder mifflin and as a sheriff's deputy, i have to investigate!" dwight said seriously. "and yes i will wear that to work. why, don't you think i look good in it?" dwight asked proudly, he found himself gorgeous in it, very intimidating and powerful, as he described it.

"you'll look ridiculous if you wear that to work" he said with a playful smirk as he leaned in and kissed dwight quickly. he then left the kitchen to go wait for dwight in the car.

dwight looked at himself in the mirror one more time before getting out of the farmhouse, now a little bit less confident about his outfit. he valued a lot jim's opinion and he was deceived that jim didn't like his uniform. he was still gonna wear it, but it didn't feel the same way, knowing jim didn't like it.

he got in the car and jim smiled at him. they drove to work, in silent. the only thing they could hear was the faint buzzing of the AC. jim noticed the slight frown on dwight's face so he decided to engage conversation.

"so... how are you planning to find who left the joint there" jim asked and dwight face immediately lit up in excitement.

"i'm gonna interview everyone in the office, if they dont want to cooperate i'll search their cars or call in someone to test their urine" he explained proudly, he was truly convinced it was a very big deal. that's why he had joined the program, he viewed police officer as super heros, and the volunteer sheriff's deputy program was the closest thing to that. "why do you even care? i thought you said it was ridiculous" dwight said, a little bit annoyed.

"of course it's not ridiculous! i wasn't serious back then, it was just a joke" jim said, and it was true, but dwight wasn't the best at getting jokes. he usually didn't understand them until someone explained them, especially when it was sarcasm.

"whatever" dwight mumbled before he opened the car's door, as they had just arrived the office.

"you look cute dwight" jim unabashedly said to him.  dwight was exhausted from all the interviews he had been doing, including jim's one where he kept messing with him. jim was like a child, he was so immature.

"thanks girl" dwight scoffed. he was trying to not seem suspicious since people didn't know they were dating, but he also had a little bit of trouble believing him since he had previously said he thought dwight looked ridiculous.

"you know i meant what i said earlier right?" jim said to dwight. he was laying in their bed shirtless and dwight had just entered the room. "about you being cute" jim said with a smirk.

"you're lying" he sighed. "you're always lying" he got in the bed with jim and cuddled with him even though he was upset at him.

"you're right i am lying" he laughed and dwight scoffed. "you're not cute... you're hot" he smirked.

"ugh you're such a dork" dwight said with a bright grin. "i really hate you" he joked.

"i know" jim wrapped his arm tighter around dwight's middle. "i love you too"
