jim's pov

today, michael, my new boss, is bringing us to the pool. apparently it's for a team building exercise... i don't know, dwight seems really excited about it. the only positive thing about this, is that i'll be able to spend time with pam outside the office.

pam is the receptionist at dunder mifflin, she's so beautiful and funny... i haven't found the courage to ask her on a date yet, but i'm planning on doing it. don't get me wrong, i'm like, always flirting with her. i just don't know if she likes me back. we get along really well, but i don't know if we could be more than friends.

dwight and i are kinda friends i guess, he's really weird but he's nice overall. he's the only one that cared enough to actually talk to me on my first day. i told him that i like pam and he keeps saying that she likes me too, but i don't believe him. it's not like they're close enough for her to tell him that. well, maybe? i don't know...

i get on the bus and sit down, putting my bag next to me. i was expecting dwight to sit down with me, but he walks past me and go sit with michael. i sigh and grab my ipod to listen to music, since i'll be sitting alone.

i feel someone touching my shoulder. i turn around to see who it is and to my surprise, it's pam. i take off my earbuds and smile at her.

"are you sitting with someone?"she asks me.
"no, nobody wants to sit with me i guess"i answer.
"well, i'm sitting with you"
"great!"

i take my bag away from the seat and pam sit down next to me. she's wearing a cute red dress that stops right before her knees. i try to make our knees and arms touch, i don't know why, i like to be close to her i guess.

we talked the whole time, about everything and nothing, just to keep talking to each other.
i love to make jokes, just to hear her cute laugh again. she's so... perfect.

the bus stops and i look out the window, only to see the pool. we all get out and go put our stuff around the pool, in the grass. some people go swimming right away, but i'm not feeling like it.

i'm wearing my swimsuit with a t-shirt, so i take my shirt off. i grab my sunscreen bottle and start to apply it. i turn around to ask pam to put sunscreen on my back and i catch her staring at me.

"uh pam?"
"what? oh uh sorry what's up"
"can you do my back?"i ask her, giving her the bottle.
"sure thing"

she start to rub my back with the lotion.

"jimothy halpert i had no idea you had a bod like that! sorry pam, jim is now the hottest in the office, after me of course" michael shout as he walks towards us.
"did you call me jimothy?"i ask, trying not to laugh.
"isn't it your full name? like, jim... jimothy"
"it's james actually"
"jimothy sounds better"

pam sits next to me and and give me my sunscreen back.
"all done" she says.

she gets up again and take off her dress, leaving her in a black bikini. i look away to stop myself from staring at her amazing body.

"do you want to go swim?" she asks me, forcing me to look at her.
"...i don't know"
"come on!" she says, grabbing my hand to pull me up.
"okay okay"

i get up, and since she's still holding my hand, we're really close. so close that i could kiss her. she stares at me for a second before she let go of my hand and walk towards the pool. i turn around and see dwight giving me a thumbs up. i roll my eyes at him and follow pam in the pool.

the water is pretty warm, since it's been hot outside for a couple of days. i jump inside of it, grabbing pam's hand to drag her with me in the water. she yelled when she fell but then she just looked at me with a big smile. i smile back at her, before throwing water on her face. she does the same thing and we fight for a while.
