I was sitting near the window, sipping on my tea, waiting for my fiancé to come home. He was an hour late already. 

My phone suddenly vibrated and i reached for it. 

"Hello, is this Ms.Y/N?", someone asked from the other side.

"Yeah yeah, it's her", I replied. 

"Miss, Brandon Boston Jr was caught in an accident. We would need you to get to the hospital immediately."

"Wha-? Um, can I have the address, please?"

"Yes", I took down the address.

I hung up and rushed to get my car keys. I ran to my car and started the engine.  I reached the hospital in 15 minutes.

"I am here to see Brandon Boston Jr", I said to the receptionist.

"The one caught in an accident? He's in ER 2."

I ran down to ER 2, only to be stopped by the doctor. 

"Sorry Miss, you can't go inside right now."

"But- I am his fiancé!" 

"He's in a very critical condition, Miss, we're not sure if he'll survive", the doctor said. 

"You- You're supposed to treat him!" 

"We're trying our best, ma'am."

"Then try harder." 

"You need to calm down, first."

"Just get him alright, please."

"We'll try our best", the doctor said with an apologetic look.

After a half an hour the doctor came out again. 

"You can see him, he's conscious."

I nodded and rushed into the room.

I saw Bj lying on that God awful bed and sat down on the stool next to his bed. 

I looked down at his hand and then at mine. 

"We are supposed to get married, BB", I mumbled. 

Then I remembered something.

My parents wedding rings.

I took off my necklace, where the rings were kept and pulled them out. 

I took Brandon's hand and started, "I will always love you, for better or for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. We will grow old together. We'll never leave each other. Forever and Always." I put the ring on Brandon's ring finger.

The monitor next to Brandon, started to beep slowly.

It was his chance to say the vows.

"I will always love you, even when I am not there. Always remember that I will never leave you alone. I will always stay by your side and will always protect you. Don't you ever feel alone, because I will forever be in your heart. I love you so much and I'll see you soon", he said and took my hand putting my mom's wedding ring in my finger and kissing my hand. He kept my hand where his heart should be.

And then the beeping of the monitor didn't take a pause.

It just went on.

Brandon's hold on my hand went limp.

I looked over to the monitor, to see a thin straight line. 

"NO!", I screamed.

The doctors rushed in.

  "Do something!", I yelled at them.

  "Get him back! Get him back to me!" 

"I am sorry we can't do anything, ma'am", the doctor said.

'Time of death, 12:23", the nurse said.

"Brandon!", I screamed. 

"BB, please come back to me! You promised me! What about our forever, Brandon!? What about it! Come back,Bj!"

I sobbed and fell into his limp arms, hugging him to me.

For the last time.

I kissed his nose and lips.

For the last time.

He wasn't there now.

I looked at my ring.

Gosh, I love him.
