KEZIAH STARED AT THE TEXT IN DISBELIEF. It couldn't be possible, could it? Nik finally managed to get the coffins back. She thought it was going to take a lot longer. It took her a while to process what he had actually sent.

And when it did, she rushed as quick as she could to Nik's mansion. Not that it took too long, they were next-door neighbours after all. As she ran across the driveway, she still hadn't even managed to put her trainers on. She didn't shut his front door as she ran from room to room looking for the hybrid.

Keziah came to a stop in one room, seeing Nik slowly pushing the dagger back into one of his siblings, she didn't know which one.

"Always and forever. I need you to stand by my side. Be my brother. Help me destroy Stefan and I promise you our family will be whole again." Nik spoke closing the coffin.

"Why are we destroying Stefan?" Keziah gained the attention of the two vampires, managing to finally pull her shoes on completely.

"He's pulled a stop to our plan, love. He has the one coffin that is stopping me from awakening my siblings."

"Then let's find it." She was determined. She wanted to meet Kol in person.

"It's not that eas—"

"I'll do a locator spell."

That seemed to stump Nik. He didn't even think about it. What an idiot.

The other vampire stepped forward, making his presence more known. "Not to be rude, but who is this?" Keziah recognised him, she was pretty sure she'd seen him at least once before.

"Brother, this is Keziah Rose, quite the little witch and she's Kol's soulmate." Nik introduced, pulling her into his side. "Keziah this is Elijah, my older brother."

"I seem to remember your name being on Elena's protection list." Elijah remembered.

"That's hard to believe." She scoffed. She turned back to Nik. "Shall we do it?" He nodded his head. "Gimmie your hand."

Keziah gripped onto his willing hand and closed her eyes. Although, she opened them at the last second, "This might hurt a bit." She closed them once again and siphoned the magic from Nik, drawing the power out from his veins and into her own. She would siphon him and use him to locate the coffin. "Anta cotis syrum, anta cotis syrum."

She repeated the spell, multiple times still receiving no images in her head. It should be working; she was channelling an original. It was as if she was being blocked. She sighed and let go of his hands. "It's being cloaked. I got nothing."

"Thanks for trying, Rosie."

"Yeah, no problem." She mumbled leaving the room and heading home.

Once Keziah reached home, she had poured herself into every Grimoire that she had been given to try and find a way to break the cloaking spell on the coffin. Nothing. It was infuriating.

After feeling sorry for herself, she decided that she would mope around in the pool, make the most of it before it got colder. She was lying in an inflatable ring, music playing softly from speaker. It was just the relaxation she needed.

Her finger was absentmindedly drawing circles in the water, any distraction was welcome.

Footsteps on the patio caused her to swivel the ring so that she faced the person. It seemed that the world stopped around them. All she saw was him. All he saw was her.  He was tall, definitely over 6 feet. Those brown eyes, she could get lost in all day, every day. His hair was a mess, like he had just woken up and she just wanted to run her fingers through it. He looked good in his khaki shirt and waistcoat, it suited him.

They couldn't stop staring at each other, not really believing it was real. They were too busy focusing on each other that, Keziah didn't have enough time to save herself from falling through the middle of the ring.

She broke the surface of the water, spluttering. She had swallowed quite a bit, not expecting to have fallen in. She grasped the warm hand that was held out and he pulled her out of the pool.

"Did I take your breath away, darling?" He cheekily asked.

Keziah swooned as she put on the oversized shirt that was resting on a lounger. He had an amazing voice. She had realised how underdressed she looked compared to him.

Although she didn't mind his stares. But it did cause her to blush heavily.

She laughed quietly, before she looked into his eyes, a smile gracing her face. "You surprised me; I didn't think you were going to be awake so soon."

He smiled as he brushed a fallen piece of hair from her face and placed it behind her ear. "What's your name, darling?"

"Keziah. Keziah Rose." She was breathless. Is that what meeting your soulmate was like for everyone?

"Keziah Rose." He tested her name on his lips, loving the sound of it. "Beautiful." He couldn't stop staring at her, but she couldn't stop staring at him. "I've waited a lifetime to meet you. I was beginning to think it would never happen."

Keziah was speechless, she didn't even know what to say. He sensed this.

"Tell me Keziah, what are you human...vampire... I want to know everything about you." He pulled her closer by her shirt and started to do up the buttons. Her mostly naked figure was driving him crazy. Whereas, Keziah thought she was going to die. This man was doing things to her. Things she hadn't felt before.

"I'm a witch."

His eyes lit up. "I find magic fascinating. I'm a friend to witches, I once taught a few how to make dark objects."

"I'm not a normal witch though." She had to tell him, get it straight out. "I don't have any of my own. I have to take it." Her hand rose up next to his, their index fingers meeting. She stole the tiniest piece of magic she could, not wanting to harm him.

Her hand flicked towards the pool, causing a wave to appear from nowhere.

"Amazing." Kol whispered, with a look of, what could only be described as adoration.
