A YEAR WAS A LONG TIME, FOR KEZIAH ROSE to have her humanity off. But that's how she kept it. As soon as she switched it off, she lost all her ties. Nothing was holding her back.
She phoned Nik and told him she was moving on with her life. He was shocked and tried to argue with her. But she wasn't having any of it. She cloaked herself, so if anyone tried to locate her it wouldn't work. He went into a rage not being able to find her.
Yet none of the Mikaelson's knew she was now a vampire. She occasionally spoke to Davina, but if she even mentioned any of the Mikaelson's she would hang up. They could only talk about anything else.
Keziah relocated to LA and compelled herself a beautiful LA apartment and lived life to her fullest. When she wanted blood, she got it. She craved the blood, but the hunt was what she craved the most. She knew control, but thought it was more fun just to let it all go and not care about anything.
She had made a couple friends, but she wasn't loyal to them. If they screwed her over, they were as good as dead. Only two of them knew not to get on her bad side. A Heretic was truly powerful, and they never wanted to ruffle her feathers.
A few covens had tried to put a stop to her, again. But it was futile. Without her humanity, she was a merciless machine, taking them down with the flick of her wrist. She controlled everyone around her.
Stefan had been with her for a month, once he finally switched his humanity off. They had a blast, being murder buddies. However, all good things must come to an end and eventually Caroline came looking for him and took him away. Who knew if his humanity was still off or if Caroline got him to switch it back on?
She leaned on the bar in the club, Vortex. It was her favourite place to frequent on a Friday night. A few vampires ventured there as well but knew not to get in Keziah's way.
The music was blasting as people danced around. Her eyes scanned the room, looking for the perfect person to prey on. She enhanced her hearing and focused on the pulsing heartbeats of the humans.
She zeroed in on a guy dancing on their own. He was perfect. She danced over to him and he happily let her dance with him. His hands gripped onto her hips and pulled her closer. He thought he was in for a good night, but it was the complete opposite.
She grabbed his cheeks and made his eyes focus on hers. "Don't scream, you're going to enjoy this." Keziah compelled and her eyes dilated.
The stranger nodded his head and her face sunk into his neck. She bit into his neck and relished in the feeling. His blood was warm and sent tingles down her throat.
The man didn't thrash around but continued dancing slightly in her hold. As she felt his blood slowing down and she pulled away. She wouldn't leave a dead body in the middle of a dance floor.
Her mouth was covered in blood. When she turned around and walked away, she paused in her step.
There in front of her stood, Elijah Mikaelson.
He looked exactly the same, dressed in his immaculate $9000 suit. He frowned as he noticed the blood on her face. He never wanted this for her. She had so much potential as a witch.
"Keziah..."
"Elijah. It's good to see you again. How long has it been?" She said as they stood face to face. She couldn't help but grin at his appalled face.
"What happened, how did you..."
"Turn into a vampire? How does anyone else? I died." She sarcastically remarked.
"Tell me you didn't kill yourself." Elijah was praying on the inside that she hadn't. He didn't want to tell Kol that.
"Bloody hell, Elijah. Course not. I was murdered by Damon Salvatore."
"I'm going to kill him." He glared.
"Oops. Already did that. My bad." Keziah brushed her hair over her shoulder and walked towards the bar. Elijah followed behind her. "Might have killed, Elena, Bonnie and Matt too whilst I was at it. I couldn't resist."
"Keziah..." Realisation hit him. "You turned your humanity off."
"Bingo!" Keziah downed the tequila shot she was given by the bartender.
"Now, do tell Elijah. How did you find me? I'm cloaked."
"Yes, still didn't manage to break it. I followed your trail from Mystic Falls. A siphon witch scaring all the covens she passed through." Elijah frowned realising that she would have lost her abilities of being a witch once she had died. "I'm sorry you lost your magic, Keziah."
"It is what it is." Keziah instead went along with it, not wanting to reveal to Elijah just yet that she was still a witch as well. "I'm going to hazard a guess, your taking me back to New Orleans."
"Yes. We need your help."
"Even though I'm not a witch anymore?"
"We could still use your help. We always need you back home. It's not the same."
"Shame."
Keziah had no plans of returning to New Orleans, she was having way too much fun in California.
"I'm not asking Keziah."
With that said, Elijah snapped her neck and picked her up. He placed her in the passenger seat of his car and began the long drive back to New Orleans.
The Mikaelson's had been looking for Keziah Rose for months. Her cloaking spell was unbreakable. Davina was having no luck either in trying to persuade her to come home during their phone calls. Therefore, Elijah made it his mission to try and follow her trail since she went to Mystic Falls. It took him a while, but he finally found a lead and it led him all the way to California.
Kol was back in his Original vampire form. He was going crazy without Keziah. Davina had managed to bring him back to life after Klaus was severed from his sire line. She had finally found the spell that she promised Keziah she would find to bring back Kol.
He briefly called Klaus on his way back and let him know he had found her. But there were some complications.
