KLAUS MIKAELSON HAD BEEN GONE for a few weeks, working his way around the country creating his hybrids. Whereas, Keziah had been studying the grimoires he had given her and was improving her skills, memorising a lot of the spells. She luckily hadn't used all the magic in the necklace, yet, but she could feel it was running out. She was getting better and becoming someone, she wanted to be.

Therefore, she was surprised when she received a call from the hybrid. She was in one of the dance studios at school. She had a free period and thought she would get back into dancing as she hadn't done much over the summer. Keziah ran over to her phone and picked up the call, "Nik, what's up?"

"Rosie! Why are you out of breath?"

She laughed to herself, he probably thought she was in danger. "I've just been dancing."

"Oh, wonderful. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be back in town tonight?"

"Really?"

"Yes, I'll see you at homecoming. You are going?"

"Of course, I am, Rebekah wouldn't not let me."

"Okay. I'll see you there, Rosie."

"Bye Nik!"

Why would Nik be going to Homecoming? Isn't that a little beneath him? Oh well, she'd find out later on anyway. She gathered her things and headed out of the studio. She had to get ready.

Keziah decided to walk home, as it wouldn't take her long and she could use the fresh air. She hadn't heard from Rebekah for a few hours now and she was getting worried. She was so stuck in her thoughts that when she crossed the street, she didn't even notice the car coming her way.

She felt the air rushed out of her, as she was shoved to the side, landing on the hard gravel. She opened her eyes and saw Kol, leaning above her in a protective stance. No fucking way. He managed to push her out of the way. His eyes held worry for her.

"Oh my god! Are you okay? Do you need an ambulance? I'm so sorry! You just dived out of the way at the last second." The driver of the car had rushed out of his car towards Keziah, rambling words fast, but she was too focused on Kol.

"Wait dived?" She asked, her eyes lingering on the driver for a second.

"Yeah, you jumped out of the way. Do I need to call an ambulance?"
