CHAPTER 6

It's D-Day! FRIYEY!

Dumating narin sa wakas ang araw na pinaka hinihintay ng lahat. Everybody is busy roaming around the school ground to look for something to eat. Usually, students buy their snacks and food in the canteen but for today, the canteen is closed and only exclusive for teachers for we let every section prepared a food booth as a requirements for their Home Economics subject. And I am not excempted for that. Though, I won't be able to help out our section in marketing because I am assigned to facilitate the whole program.

The program started at 8:00 A.M and it's already nearing 12:00 noon so we are all preparing for lunch. Ngayon nga ay nagbibigay na ng reminders si Stef dahil siya ang MC.

"Before we close the morning program, I would like to remind everybody that all is required to comeback here before 1:00 P.M dahil may program pa tayo mamayang hapon. Okay? Understood?" all answered "yes!" kaya nag paalam na siya sa stage. "That's all. Enjoy your lunch. Thank you."

Pagkababa niya ng stage ay sabay sabay na kaming naglakad na officers patungo sa office ng SC dahil doon kami kakain lahat. Nagkukwentuhan kami papuntang office ng biglang sumulpot ang magaling kong kaibigan dala ang bag niya.

"Hoy! Babae. Hindi porket kaibigan kita ay itotolerate kita. No. You're not allowed to go home as long as the program is not yet done" mahabang lintanya ko at nilagpasan siya para humabol sa mga kasama ko pero di pa ako nakaka tatlong hakbang ay may humila na sa buhok ko.

"Aray!"

"Mga lintanya mo talaga Mikaela pang President talaga. Kung di ka lang over acting at tanga sa pag-ibig napalakpakan na kita" ako naman ngayon ang humila sa buhok niya.

"Sinong tanga sa pag-ibig? Ha?" maangas kong tanong kaya napa irap siya.

"Tsk!"

"So, why are you here btw?"

"I'm here because we agreed to eat together. YOU said that I can eat in the SC Office together with your officers" she irritatingly state and it finally sinks in to me.

Yesterday, we we're walking to the gate when she opened the topic about todays program at nasabi ko sa kaniya na mag la-lunck ako sa office kaya nag tanong siya if she can too and I immediately agreed dahil mababait naman ang mga co-officer ko and she's also friend to all. They know her kasi palagi kaming magkasama.

"Ah..yeah..let's go. Patapos na yung lunch time" and we hurriedly walk to the office and find out na hinihintay pala nila ako bago sila kumain.

"Sorry I keep you waiting" I apologize and gestured my bestfriend behind me "she'll eat with us. Is it okay?" i ask out of respect dahil hindi naman ako pwedeng mag desisyon lang ng mag-isa porket ako ang presidente nila. They all nod kaya madali na akong umupo sa pwesto ko and pull an extra chair for Jin at tabi kami sa table. I even saw her glance at Vincent. Tsk! If I know, crush niya yung vice-president ko.

After lunch, we continue with our program at ngayon nga ay awarding na.

" for poster making, may we call on Sir Sam and Ma'am Diane to give the certificate" agad naman tumayo pumuntang stage sina ma'am at sir and together with me, we give out the certificate to the winners.

For poster making Harriet in our section got the first place. Essay writing first place goes to Julfe, my classmate too. Nutri-quiz ay napunta sa section 2 na si Harvie. poem writing ay sa ka-section ko ulit. And sulat-bigkas to Ayna of section 3. And over all champion ay napunta sa aming Grade 10 and we end the program after giving out all the certificates to the participants and thanking all people who work behind the success of todays program. Nakakapagod pero masaya. Another accomplishment and experience. It's satisfying to know that all my hard work. Our hardwork paid off.

Monday came. Usapan parin ang naganap na pahdiriwang last Friday and I can't help bit smile like an idiot dahilan kung bakit ilang beses na akong nabato ng peas na kinakain ni Jin ngayon.

Naiinis ko siyang tinignan. "Ano ba! Wag mo ngang sinasayang yang pag-kain" pangaral ko sabay lagay ng peas na napulot ko sa palda ko sa aking bibig.

"It's not. Nahulog na yan--fuck! Joke lang!" naidura ko sakaniya ang kinain ko. Ang ending? Nakailag siya kaya safe siya.

"Ang baboy mo talaga Mikee" reklamo niya at pinagpagan ang palda. Arte. Hinablot ko sa kaniya hawak niyang supot ng peas at sinimulang kainin yun.

"Alam mo besh, may napansin ako?" binalingan ko siya at tinaasan ng kilay pero di ako nagsalita and that's her cue to coņtinue " Isang linggo ka ng di nag fa-fangirl kay Baby Labs Jeric mo" mejo nagdalawang isip pa siya kung sasabihin niya yun o ano and right on time nakita ko naman si Jeric-- yeah di na My Labs kasama ang rumored GF niya. Rumored lang kasi di naman daw sila. Well according lang yan sa mga naririnig ko sa paligid ha? And they both denied the issue rin. Though it's very obvious na may MU naman sila. Aarte!

"tsk! Napaghahalataang bitter friend" diko alam na napatagal pala ang tingin ko sa dalawa kaya napabaling ako sa kaibigan kong always panira moment.

"Nah! Di ako bitter friend. Naka pag move-on nako no!" I immediately deny the accusation " I can see na masaya sila with each other and I'm not in the modd to be the villain of their oh so called love story so pass. Move on na tayo" i said with finality and i'm serious.

Yes. I was hurt noong nalaman ko yin nung una but eventually, after a week, narealize ko nalang na maybe, we're not really meant for each other. And there is someone wah better than him for me? Charots! Pero seryoso, iniyakan ko yang kupal na Jeric na yan. Ang gwapo mo dude!

"Huwaw naman sa conviction besh! Oo na! Ikaw na naka mabilis mag move-on!" aniya sabay hablot pabalik ng supot ng peas na kinakain niya kanina.

"Tsk!" Yun lang at parehas na namin nilantakan ang pagkaing hawak niya. I'm in a good mood kasi maganda ang tulog at gising ko. Idagdag pa ang good feedbacks sa event last Friday, edi tripple good mood. Akala ko nga buong araw na eh, kung wala lang kupal na bumato ng bola ng basketball sa ulo ko habang kumakain ako ng peas.

Lintik lang walang ganti!
