Mabilis na lumipas ang mga araw at linggo.
It was already first week of December and everyone's busy preparing for the School's Christmas party including me--who's much more busy than anybody along with my co-officers in SC because aside from our duty as a School officers, there's also a duty as a classroom officer. How much more for me for I am both a president in SC and in our room?
"As for our classroom theme, how about white Christmas" Joy suggested which caught everyones attention and encourage her to share her ideas and she did.
"Let's just stick to two colors which is white and blue. We can add other too but as much as possible, white and blue should stand out"
"How about the snow?" Dina ask. Napag usapan kasing white Christmas inside the globe that's why.
"How about styrofoam?" I suggested "we can just scratch it para maghiwa-hiwalay at lumipad by the help of our ceiling fan of course" our meeting only last for 10 minutes dahil nagkasundo agad ang klase and everyone's very cooperative so walang problema.
They accepted my opinion about dun sa styrofoam and added some details kaya napagpasyahang bumili na ng materials ang assigned officers after counting the funds na naipon namin the past months. We have penalties and mandatory savings every week so that we'll be able to use it if needed and this one is not an excemption. Our funds total is 10,500.00 pesos. Yes. Malaki yan kasi ang mahal ng penalties. 50 pesos for absent each subject at 20 pesos naman for late each subject. Sinadya yang mahalan para sana walang masyadong umabent o mag pa-late biug of course, sinong niloko namin? Kahit yata 100 pesos each pa ang bayad every absent or late walang magiging problema dahil marami naman silang pera. Tsk. Okay narin. May pang outing kami sa summer.Hahaha.
After we settled every matter inside our room I adjourned the meeting and proceed to the SC office to finalize the plan for the school's upcoming Christmas Party.
Ako ang naunang dumating so O assume hindi pa sila tapos sa kani-kanilang room meeting. I check the schedule and some things na naipasa na for checking. I was in the middle of checking when Vincent enter the office.
"Good morning Pres" he greeted smilinh and I did the same. After Vincent ay nagsunod-sunod na silang pumasok so nasimulan agad ang meeting.
"How's the preparations going?" I ask after we all settle in our seats.
"The program is already finalize. Na check na ni Ma'am" it was Vincent. I complimented him for doing a good job.
"The speakers and sound is all good too" this time it was our P.I.O.
"As for the guest, only Mr. Mariano is not yet sure for he have a prior commitment that day but he said that he'll try his best to come to our event" si Mae naman this time, the secretary.
"Good job everyone" I complimented them all "our final meeting will be on Thursday next week, December 12. That is two days before the actual event so I hope everythings settle amd finalize by that time" tumango sila lahat so I ended the meeting after complimenting them for the last time. "Meeting ajourned."
As the event approaches, ay pa-busy din ako ng pa-busy that I sometimes forget to eat my lunch. If not for Cole and Jin who constantly reminding me to do so, hindi ko alam kung ilang lunch na sana ang napalipas ko.
"Kahit naman sana busy ka hindi mo kalimutang kailangan mo parin kumain para mag function ka ng maayos" Cole keep on nagging while placing the lunch he packed for me and all I can do is to roll my eyes at him. Kung wala si Jin na magbubunganga may Cole na kapalit.
"너!너!" (yes! Yes!) I sarcastically answer and then started eating.
"Don't use your alien language on me Mikaela" he sound serious so I turn serious to and murmur my apology before I digging the packed lunch he brought. In all fairness naman, ang sarap.
"After this, ano pang kailangan mong gawin?" He ask as he take his seat in front of me so I halt eating.
"Check the final details of the program and I'm off to go" I finally put a spoonful and was about to take a bite again when he throw his follow up question kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.
"Ano, kakain ba ako o interview muna tayo?" pagtataray ko. Gutom na kaya ako! And we came here to eat. Cole put his hand up surrendering.
"Fine. Fine. Let's eat first" and that's my cue to continue eating. I have many things to do after this so I need to be quick.
"Eat slowly. Walang humahabol sayo" naiiling na saway ni Cole ng makita ang pagmamadali ko bit I ignore him. "Tsk"
"Thank you for the lunch, kitakits mamaya" paalam ko at tumayo na right after kong kumain. I know it's rude of me but I needed to go and finish my task para makasama ako sa kanila mamaya. Lately, madalang na akong sumama sa kanila dahil sa officer duty ko so kailangan kong bumawi. Atleast later, I can join them buying gifts and outfit for tomorrow. Kahit yun lang. Di man kasi nila sabihin ay nagtatampo na si Jin saakin. Madalas ko kaya siyang makitang nakasimangot dahil wala na daw siyang nakaka-kwentuhan at napaglalabasan ng kilig feels niya dahil sobang busy ko na. I feel bad but this is call of duty kaya wala akonv magagawa. Babawi nalang ako sa kaniya after this.
The day of the Christmas party came. Maaga palang ay busy na ang lahat ng tao sa school.
Picture dito. Picture doon. Punta dito. Punta doon.
Nandito ako ngayon sa room. Tatlo palang kaming nandito dahil maaga pa. Ang cute ng classroom namin. I'm more than satisfied sa naging outcome ng plano namin.
Lahat ng upuan ay nasa gilid at nakapalibot sa room namin. Sa harap ay nandoon ang lamesa na lalagyan ng mga pagkain mamaya. Sa gilid naman nun ay isa pang mesa na lagayan naman ng gifts. The whole room had the dominant color white and blue and theres some that is colored red pero konti lang yun. Ang ceiling namin ay may naka dikit na mga candy cane and christmas balls. Ang dingding naman may mga nakadikit na na blue and white hand made snow flakes kaya ang cute tignan.
"Naks! Twinning! Korean outfit is life" nabaling ang tingin ko kay Joy ng magsalita siya ang my lips automatically form into a smile ng makita ko si Jin na kadarating lang.
"Good morning chingu" she greeted and happily leap towards me kaya natawa ako.
"Same to you my dear friend"
"Tara picture tayo habang wala pang masyadong ginagaw" and I gladly agree. Busy na naman ako mamaya so kailangan ko tong pagbigyan para di naman sumama ang loob.
"Joy, can you take a picture of us?"
"Sure" madaling inabot ni Jin ang dslr camera na dala niya dahil ang akin ay nasa bag ko pa. Airdrop nalang niya mamaya.
"Hey! Pasali naman jan" it was Cole na bigla nalang pumasok sa room namin. Kilala na naman siya sa room so walang problema. Di pa man kami nakaka-oo ay pumagitna na siya. Busy pa kami kakareklamo ni Jin dahil inakbayan niya pa kami ng mag flash ang camera. Great!
"Joy! Isa pa. Ang panget ko jan" reklamo ni Jin.
"Hahahaha. No it's cute" Si Joy habang nakagingin sa picture namin "but, sure, pose pa kayo ako na bahala sa picture" we did as we told. Pumwesto na kaming tatlo ng maayos. Cole's arm was still on our shoulder dahil ayaw niyang tanggalin so pinabayaan na namin and just face the camera and smile sweetly.
I requested some fun shots so we need to wacky. At dahil parehas kaming tatlo na abnormal, we both disort ang faces for a wacky pose kaya natawa narin si Joy sa mga pinag gagagawa namin. Jin and I requested for a V sign amd finger heart na agad tinutulan ni Cole pero sa huli ay pumayag din.
"Joy! Hanap ka ni Renz sa labas" Joy handed us Jin's camera at si Cole naman ang inutusan naming pincturan kami. Wala pa kaming solo pic ni Jin so we need to take one. Kahit nagrereklamo ay kinuhanan naman kami ni Cole. Mga walang kwenta of course. Candid daw pero para sakin wala talagang kwenta. May picture kami na naghahawi ng buhok, nag aayos ng palda, nag-uusap sa susunod na pose. Basta! Puro walang kwenta. In the end, I take a picture of Jin and she take a picture of mine. We dicided to just ask one of our classmate later to take a picture of us. Kapag si Cole kasi walang kwenta. Pinaalis na nga namin dahil di naman napakinabangan.
Unti-unti ng dumataing ang mga kaklase namin and I would just smile everytime they compliment our outfit at ganun din si Jin na busy na ngayon sa pagkuha ng picture sa room at kung ano-ano pa.
When the clock strike 9, it is our sign to have fun.
