It's Been A Long Long Time

Chapter 9

-Avengers Tower-
10pm

"I dont think I'll ever fully understand your Midguardians technology" Loki commented as he watched the popcorn popping in the microwave.

Lately he had been fascinated by the kitchen appliances in the tower, and how earthlings had a constant need to radiate their food. You laughed at his comment and grabbed the bagel bites out of the oven. Your best friend Kita had been spending the last few nights at the tower with you and tonight you had a big "girl's night" sleepover party  down in the movie room and you were in charge of snacks. Suddenly, a large crash was heard from the room below, followed by loud shouting and thumping. Nat jumped up from the couch and ran with you and Loki to see what had happened. As you ram ahead of everyone you could make out some of the noise.

Music?

The doors opened and you all rushed in, fighting stances at the ready, but nothing. Absolutely nothing could have prepared you for the sight infront of you. Kita and Bucky were jumping from sofa to sofa, throwing pillows back and forth while Steve was frantically trying to clean up the broken vase someone had knocked over.

The screaming was mainly coming from Kita and Peter (twerking on the ceiling) who were singing along to the song blaring out of Jarvis' speaker system.

"Shorty with them apple bottom jeans"

"Jeaaans"

"Boots with the fur"

"WITH THE FURRR"

"GOT THE WHOLE CLUB LOOKIN AT HER"

"At HeErRR"

"SHE HIT THE- eEEEEK!!"

Your best friend squeaked and immediately froze when she saw Loki standing in the doorway, not even seeming to care as Bucky tossed a pillow at her. The fluffy orb landing with a decided *plop* on her head.

"Oh Lily thank god you came back! I'm not ready to be a mother yet" Steve ran over to you and pretended to weep dramatically into your shoulder.

"Wow, guys. I think you broke Steve" you shot at the group with fake sternness. "Now Bucky and Peter, you help me get this place in order before Tony kills us all" the boys looked at you sheepishly and began picking up all the various pillows that had been strewn around the room as Nat led a very traumatized Steve out of the room. You turned to the handsome god of mischief that was still leaning casually against the doorway "And Loki, can you see if Kita needs any help picking out a movie? Thankyou darling" you batted your eyelashes as he sighed and walked over to a still very stunned and now bright red Kita.

"Lily, I'm so sorry about the mess and all" Bucky timidly commented as you swept the remaining broken vase shards into the dustpan he was holding "I don't even know how it got so out of control. We all had some of that tea you and Kita were always talking about, and then Peter started showing us something called a vine? And then that turned into us playing the floor is lava and then Steve knocked over somebody's grandmother and started crying and-"

You quickly pulled the distraught soldier into a hug and shushed him, trying not to look down at the dusty vase shards at your feet. "Its okay Bucky, I totally understand! Trust me, you should see that girl and me on the weekends after just a glass of lemonade" he smiled up and you sweetly, lost in his sharp eyes, you leaned closer as his head moved towards yours.
