Another One

Ailani's P.O.V

"Here she comes, little miss Luna."

I strolled into the dining area, or more like limped, and sat down at Jack and Katie's table with a sigh of relief.

"Hey guys," I greeted them.

"Where have you been? Jack had to stay over because I was afraid of being alone, and boy does this boy snore for days!" Katie refused to smile at me as she studied my face for an answer.

"She's glowing, and limping." Jack pointed out, a very faint smirk planted on his lips. Before he could say anything he dug his spoon into the bowl of cereal he had, and stuffed his mouth full.

"I didn't ask about her appearance, or how she is walking for that matter, I asked where she was last night." Katie dismissed Jack's answer and turned her attention back to me. "Ailani, where were you?"

Once again, Jack answered for me. "Katie, she's limping and her skin glows, you know where the hell she was."

"Huh," Katie was still confused.

"She was getting some dick!"

I nearly choked on the glass of orange juice I had decided to drink to avoid answering them.

"Watch your mouth, Jack." I hissed.

He chuckled, a mischievous look in his eyes. "She was getting dicked down by the almighty Adrian."

"Stop!" I groaned in embarrassment.

There was a pause, and relief washed over me as I felt the verbal assault had come to an end. I was wrong.

"Her and the Alpha got into a bit of entanglement." Jack laughed, dashing for the breakfast area for more food.

Katie looked at me dumbfounded. I felt like rolling in on myself.

"How was it?"

I gasped. "Katieeee."

"What? Adrian's one hell of a man, and I doubt he is any less of a man in the sheets. But I'd like to know for sure. How was it?" She asked again.

I looked around slightly, lowered my voice and smiled just a little...

"It was fucking mind blowing!"

Adrian's P.O.V

"Open the windows bro, it smells like sex in here."

Solomon strode into my room, heading straight for the windows, opening them with desperation. Before, I would have been annoyed or somewhat embarrassed, but I smiled victoriously at the memory of what my mate and I did last night.

"Have you changed the sheets?" Solomon asked, eyeing the bed with slight distaste.

"Not yet, no."

"Change the fucking sheets bro," Solomon whined. "You've got a lot of shit to do, but you're not starting any of it until this bedroom smells like fresh strawberries."

While I re-made my bed, Solomon explained today's plans to me in brief.

"The people that have chosen to go back home and get the rest of their pack are ready to leave today, they only ask for your permission to let them go, and a guarantee that their family will be welcomed when the get back."

"And the constructions?"

"Catalina and Christopher have the plans ready. They want to show you first before the building starts. They also want to know what the budget is-,"

"There is no budget. Let them spend as much as they need."

"I'll let them know." Solomon said. "One more thing. They want to start training again real soon. I don't know if starting now was a good ti-."

"We start training at 6pm today. Let them all know."
Solomon silently nodded his head, and without another word, he left the room.

Ailani's P.O.V

"So any new powers yet?" Jack asked as we strolled through the forest by the pack house.

"I don't know why you keep pestering me about powers. We had sex, it's not that deep." I shook my head at them and kept walking.

"Uh no, it's very deep. You had sex with an Alpha, as in you mated with an Alpha." Katie was about to start a rant...

"Look guys, I feel no different. If I have any supernatural powers, which I don't, you'll be the first to know. Now can we just cut this conversation and enjoy the sun."

Just as I said this, a group of guys ran past us; perhaps racing, flexing their naked torsos as they sprinted in the heat. Five girls followed shortly behind; jogging slowly, giggling together as they watched the men in front of them.

"What's going on?" Jack asked quietly.

One of the girls heard him and answered, "training starts at 6 tonight, alpha's orders."

"Fuck," Jack cussed. "I'm out of shape; catch you guys later!" He hurried off in a sprint, heading in the same direction the boys went.

"Wanna join us?" One of the girls asked, her small hand beckoning us to walk with them.

"Where you guys going?" I asked.

"We're gonna go do some sparring on the hilltops. It's a trek, but the suns out and the views gonna be lush."

Katie shrugged her shoulders and started following them. "Might as well," she said.

Catalina's P.O.V

"Catalina, what do you see? I'm here, I've got you. Tell me what you see."

Solomon's voice was too faint for me to respond. I felt my body tense as I went into a state of shock, my eyes wide open, but not really seeing the ceiling above me. Instead, I saw a beautiful landscape, the sun blazing in all its glory.

The sound of girls laughing filled my body with a welcoming warmth, but my smile turned quickly into a frown of horror; as the smell of copper filled my lungs, and I looked down only to see a puddle of red.

My blood ran cold as the surroundings around me drastically changed from sunlight to darkness. A vicious wind wrapped around my body like a cloak, trapping me in a position where I could not move.

I heard a familiar voice, French, intoxicating and sweet. It came from behind me, but something was stopping me from turning around.

She did not acknowledge me as she walked past, her purple dress dragging delicately across the sandy floor. Her hair was long and dark; silky and straight.
The man that followed her was hidden by a hooded coat; and he walked behind her as if he was under some sort of spell.

"My Queen," he said in awe, bowing down on one knee."

When she spoke her words felt like ice slashing against my skin.

"There cannot be two of us. There can only be one."

"My Queen," the man whined. "What would you have me do."

In a split second, the graceful lady spun round with an unnatural speed, racing towards me at the speed of light until she stopped abruptly in front of my face.

I gasped as I saw the spitting image of Ailani standing before me.
"The other one must die!" She hissed.

When I woke up, Solomon, Adrian and Christopher were looking at me with fear in their eyes.
