Ailani's P.O.V

"Hello sweetheart, how may I help you?" I flashed a smile to a blonde lady with olive skin behind the counter, trying my best to hide the fear in my eyes.

"Have you seen two people, a tall white boy with an athletic build, dark hair, blue eyes and a tattooed sleeve on his left arm. And a girl, about my height with ginger curly hair and-."

The lady — who I assumed was nice and helpful; interrupted me by making a phone call. "I'll check for you," she said.

"But I haven't even given you the complete description of the girl," I argued.

She nodded and smiled before talking to someone on the other end of the line. "Yeah, I'm looking for two people; a boy and a girl together. Boy has dark hair and brown eyes-."

"No blue eyes," I said. "They're blue eyes."

"Oh forgive me," the lady screwed me before continuing. "Brown hair and blue eyes, white skin and a tattooed left arm."

There was silence  as the lady listened to the other person speaking. My heart was hammering in my chest to the point where I was certain that I was going to throw up.

I frowned as she put the phone down and looked at me. "I'm sorry, but we haven't got eyes on your friends at the moment."

"But you didn't even ask about the girl!" I exclaimed. "There was a girl and a boy."

"Look," she hissed. "I'm not the one who deals with the lost and found, you would need to go to customer service in order to find your friends."

"Well you could've said that before, you've wasted my time."

Just then, a couple came up close behind me, waiting to be seen by the lady I was speaking to. She flashed them the same fake smile she showed me and began to converse with them.

"Have a nice day sweetheart," she said, and then turned her attention away from me.

I felt my heart sink within my chest. Looking around was making my head dizzy, and I didn't have any time to wait. They were already looking for me.

I went outside and hollered an empty taxi waiting for a customer. "Hola," the man greeted me warmly. "Adonde?"

Thankful for the app 'Duolinguo', I told him the address of my parents and sighed with relief as he began driving towards their destination.

Adrian's P.O.V

"I'll be out of this cage sooner or later," I hissed, glaring daggers at Ivan's threat to have me executed.

"You can escape," he agreed. "That is very true. But the whole of our kind can clearly see you're guilty of treason. So you escaping is essentially suicide." Ivan was walking to and fro, mocking me and my pack.

"My pack needs an Alpha-,"

"No, your pack needs a strong Alpha, an Alpha that communicates with no human – but kills them on sight. You, Adrian, are not that Alpha."

I looked at his evil stance, the smirk on his face, the spark of humour in his eyes. He was up to something.

"What are you planning to do with my pack?" I asked, hands gripping the iron bars of the cell I was trapped in.

He turned to me and smiled mockingly.

"That, Adrian. Is none of your concern."

Solomon's P.O.V

Catalina and I had managed to avoid getting captured by Ivan's pack, jumping into the nearest vehicle and heading for the city.

"Your brother is in serious shit," Catalina said, shifting to gear 6, speeding down the highway. We needed to get to Ailani's parents before anyone else found out about their location.

"It was bound to happen. Your visions told you so," I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"No." Catalina said. "My visions told me that he would reject his mate as soon as he found out she was human. It told me nothing of Ivan, or his plan to have him executed."

"Your visions are very shit then," I said, shaking my head.

"If it weren't for my visions, Ailani and her friends would be dead by now. It was us that gave them protection. We are their only alliances."

"If you go any damn slower, then Ailani and her friends are going to die! You should've let me drive."

"Quit whining," Catalina said, just as my phone started to ring. It was Marcus.

I didn't even have time to say hell–

"Solomon. We have a massive problem." He started.

Catalina rolled up the windows and I put the phone on speaker.

"Continue," I said.

"Jack and Katie have been returned to the pack, and they are in a pretty bad state." Catalina and I shared a glance of pure horror. "Ivan has sent them to the torture chamber, and we have no access anymore to the CCTV controls, so we don't know what's happening to them down there."

"Fuck," I hissed underneath my breath.

"You need to come back, we have no leader anymore." Marcus sounded scared, fearful of what could happen to the pack if Adrian died.

"The thing is Marcus, we can't." Catalina explained. "We need to find Ailani. She is the only way order can be restored, she's Adrian's mate."

"But she is not a leader," Marcus argued.

"She is a Luna, the female version of an Alpha, do not underestimate her ability to lead Marcus." Catalina said sternly.

"I understand," he murmured respectively. "What am I to do in the meantime?"

"Stay alive," I said, and then hung up the phone, focusing on the bustling of the city in front of us.

"How the hell are we gonna find this girl?" I asked, feeling overwhelmed by the amount of people here.

Catalina looked out of the car window, staring specifically at a group of people, all dressed in black, walking somewhere with intent.

"They're from Ivan's pack, aren't they?" I asked.

"Yes. We follow them."

We were stuck in the middle of traffic, trapped in between taxis, motorcycles, and tourist buses. I  unbuckled my seatbelt shortly after Catalina took hers off.

"She's in one of these cabs," Catalina said as she got out the car. "I'd hurry the fuck up if I were you."
