Chapter Twenty Seven

Kenna's POV

After the scene that happened in our office earlier today Ric and I decided to leave early for the day and leave Dorian and Emma in charge. The kids of course begged to come along but knowing that they just wanted to skip class Ric and I had to say no.

"Are you feeling better?" Ric asks as he eats the last of his food.

"You know me, some food and my mood right away goes up." I say making him chuckle.

"Well I know something else that'll make you happy, why not instead of our usual date night we have a date day, we can spend the day together." he says as I smile at him loving the idea of spending the day with him.

"I love it, it sounds amazing." I say excited.

"Alright then, my lady?" he says standing up and holding his hand out for me to take.

"Why thank you." I say as he leaves money on the table for the bill and we walk out together.

"Now, since it is your day, what would my beautiful girlfriend like to do next?" he says as I look to him with my thinking face.

"Hmm, you know what sounds fun right now? Shopping!" I say making him groan.

"Noooo, I mean yay!" he says once I give him my pouty face.

"Ok, only because I love you." he says, giving me a kiss.

"I'll love you more if you hurry and take me shopping." I say as he chuckles.

Ric and I head over to some shops where I of course take my time shopping and looking at some clothes. I laugh as I see him following me around the store with my bags.

"Do girls really need this much clothes?' he asks as I chuckle.

"That's just for me I haven't even started looking for clothes for the girls." I say laughing as he groans.

"Kenna...." he says slowly.

"Yes, honey?" I say knowing the nickname will make him smile. He smiles at me before just nodding and accepting his fate.

"Did you tell the girls we're shopping?" he asks.

"Nope, I don't have a death wish." I say as he laughs.

"Kenna!" We both turn around to see Freya, Keelin, Davina and Hayley heading over to us with Rebekah, being the one that yelled my name.

I turn around looking to Ric who looks like he wants to be anywhere but here as I chuckle at him, "Don't worry," I say trying to comfort him.

"Hey, Kenna, what are you two doing here?" Rebekah says and before either of us could reply Hayley says, "Shouldn't you two be at the school?"

"Shouldn't you be learning to keep your legs closed?" I say, annoyed with her.

She rolls her eyes at me and as Rebekah looks shocked at my commentary while Ric laughs behind me.

"How was your first day Davina?" I ask as she smiles at me.

"It was really good, Kol and I really liked it. Thank you so much for the opportunity Ken." She says.

"We're glad to have you two."

"What are you two doing here together?" Rebekah asks.

"Shopping, I wanted to get some new clothes and the girls deserve a nice gift."

"Thats sweet, are you coming to dinner tonight?"

"No, I think I learned my lesson with your brother's fiasco at last night's dinner."
