Chapter Forty-Nine

3rd POV

It's been a fun week for the Saltzman family, plus Hope, with getting planning done for her birthday party and the Mikaleson's having finally realized that Hayley wasn't who they thought she was. They are finally calm with their brother not being on the warpath to win back Kenna and finally just letting loose and taking things day by day.

Kenna sighs happily walking into her office, content with her purchases after taking a well-deserved break and going shopping. She walks into her office where Ric was doing paperwork and smiles at him.

"It's Friday, babe!" She yells excited as he smiles at her bright smile.

"I know, I can't wait to just go home and have family dinner." He says as Kenna nods and puts her bags with her purchases on the coffee table.

"How did you have time to go shopping?" Ric asks her as she giggles.

"I'm a Forbes, It's in my blood." She says as Ric laughs and heads over to see the bags.

"Is this what I think it is?" He asks looking at one of the bags laughing.

"Yup, I'm giving it to Kol and Davina, tonight." She says as Ric bursts out laughing already picturing Kol's face to the present.

"I really can't wait for tonight. Have I told you how much I love you." He says as she giggles and nods.

With the Kids

"Alright, so I already have the itinerary for this weekend ready, printed and yes, laminated, cause Emery tends to drop stuff on hers." Lizzie says as the group is sitting down for lunch together.

"Hope, you might as well sleepover this weekend cause we have a lot to do. We are waking up early tomorrow to go dress shopping, and before you even ask Penelope, yes you have to go to the party. So do you, boys, so get your best dress shirts out, and Landon, you better have a suit if you're going to be her escort." Lizzie rambles off.

"Aye, aye, captain." He says making the group laugh as Lizzie glares.

"Liz, don't stress, we'll follow your list." Alec says patting her head as she glares at him and fixes her hair.

"You all better! I worked hard on it and it's perfect!" She says as the girls nod and different conversations start around the table as Hope relaxes a little.

She loves that everyone is excited, shes even excited, but nervous about all the attention she'll be getting that day. She may be a Mikaelson but she's never been one to crave the limelight.

"Hey, you okay?" Emery whispers to her seeing the anxious look on Hopes face.

"Yeah, just a little nervous, I've never been one for big parties where the attention is on me." She says as Emery chuckles.

"Don't worry, we'll be there with you. And if it makes you feel better I'm going to look absolutely hot so I'll take away some attention from you." Emery says making Hope chuckle.

"Thanks, Emery." Hope says as she nods.

"What are sister for?" She smiles at her as Hope nods with a bright smile as she turns back to the group feeling better about the party to come.

Later at the Saltzman Residence

"Hello! Children we are home!" Ric yells coming into the house along with Kenna, Kol, and Davina after finishing up the school day a little after the kids.

"In the kitchen!" They here a voice yell as the four adults walk in to see a kitchen filled with teens and food.

"It smells great in here, what are you guys making?" Kol asks going over to the counter to sit on.
