Klaus POV (Same day as last chapter)

These past few weeks have been hard on the family. Kol and Davina practically live at Kenna's, they're always there or at the school. Freya and Keelin spend most of their day at the school till they come home and we're able to hear about their day. Elijah and I have been taking care of Hayley. She's been confined to a room here, thanks to Freya and Davina who were more than happy to help, where we are able to keep an eye on her. We bring her food and blood everyday and make sure she has anything she needs but shes upset and angry.

"Let me out, Klaus." She says as I set down her tray with food and two blood bags.

"I can't do that, Hayley." I say as she rolls her eyes.

"Why? You know me, you can trust me." She says as I shake my head.

"I don't trust you. You are a threat to the twins, to their family and I can't allow you to be near them." I say as she groans.

"At least let me see our daughter." She glares.

"She knows that you're here and that she's allowed to come see you when she wants if she hasn't come its because she doesn't want to yet." I say as she looks to me confused.

"Why wouldn't she want to come? Is she still at that school? They're probably telling her horrible things about me! About us! They are going to poison her against us, Klaus! You need to listen to me." She yells as I get angry.

"Nobody is poisoning her against us! It is her choice to come see you and I won't force her to do anything she doesn't want to." I say as she rolls her eyes.

"Think about it, Klaus. You were always the villain in their story, the big bad hybrid, they're probably filling her head with these stories and she's going to hate us!" She says, the twins wouldn't do that, they may not trust me yet but they aren't evil or vindictive.

"Stop, I trust them, I trust Hope and they wouldn't do that neither would Kenna." I say heading to the door.

"She doesn't love you, Klaus. She never will and the twins will never forgive you and let you into their lives. Not after everything." She says as I walk out slamming the door.

Hope's POV

I sigh coming into the house seeing Marcel and Rebekah sitting on the couch together talking quietly as Elijah is sitting down reading.

"Hey, Hope, how was school, sweetie." Rebekah asks smiling over to me.

"Good, I was actually gonna head over to theirs later, the guys and I are studying for an exam coming up." I say as she nods.

"Don't forget we need to start planning your party, your birthday is coming up." She smiles.

"I'm actually already planning it with the girls, I can bring home the plans tomorrow so you can take a look if you want." I say as she nods slowly.

"Or I can go and help you girls? I would love to help and be a part of it." She smiles hopefully as I nod slowly.

"Sure, I'll bring it up with the girls and Kenna, it's just going to be you, right?" I ask thinking about my mom.

"Yes, just me." She says as I nod with a smile.

"Hope, you should see your mother before leaving." Elijah says looking up from his book. I know I should probably go and see her, but I feel like I don't even know her anymore. She has so much hatred for people that have done nothing to her and people that I have come to care about and love.

"Not today." I say as he stands from his seat.

"It would do her good to see you, Hope." He says as I shake my head.

"It wouldn't be good for me, I don't want to see her, Elijah, and nobody can force me too." I say slightly angry as he nods.

"Very well, you decide when you want to see your mother, but remember she is still your mother. She'll want to see you for your birthday." He says.

"She's not invited to the party, it's going to be at the school and Kenna and her family are going to be there and I don't want any drama or fighting. So, please, if you and my father want to go, be civil and don't mention mom." I say as he nods.

"As you wish." He says as I sigh and rush upstairs to my room. I go in and start packing a bag with some over night clothes, a new uniform for tomorrow and my toiletries. I grab my book bag and duffel as I go to open my door to see my dad with his hand up ready to knock.

"Hi, love, where are you headed? You just got home." He asks.

"I'm spending the night at Kenna's, with your permission of course, I was just about to go ask. We have an exam coming up we're going to study for and talk more party planning for my birthday. Aunt Davina and Uncle Kol will be there, they practically live with them." I chuckle as dad gives me a small smile.

"Of course, love, call me when you get there, I want to know you're safe. You'll be at their home? All night?" He asks as I smile and nod, I know I worried him with the party last time.

"Yes, I'm really sorry about last time, I promise I won't lie to you again." I say as he smiles and brings me into his arms.

"I know, Hope. I trust you and I trust Kenna and her family. I know she would protect you and her children." He says as I smile seeing him finally accept that Kenna has a new life that doesn't involve him.

"Just, I wanted to talk to you about something." He says warily as I nod and go to sit on my bed as he comes and shuts the door.

"Its about your mother, I don't think you should see her just yet. She is very much filled with hate right now. I don't know why she has all this hate for Kenna and her family, it doesn't make sense to me but I feel like it would be best to give her time with her thoughts before you see her." He says as I nod.

"I agree dad, really, mom has this hatred for Kenna because I think she feels threatened by her. She's threatened by what she means to you and the family but doesn't understand that she is pushing herself away from everyone." I say.

"I don't know, love, but she isn't well right now, might be best to leave her be." He says as I smile at him.

"I promise, now I should really go, Alec and Jace are picking me up." I say looking at my phone that has a message from Alec. He nods as I hurry to pick up my bags again rushing downstairs yelling bye to my family. Once outside I see Alec in the drivers seat with Jace next to him. I jump into the backseat with my stuff hearing the end of their conversation.

"House rules man, driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole." Alec says as Jace scoffs and I giggle at the twos antics.

"Alright boys let's go before Lizzie gets mad were late." I say as they nod and Alec swats Jaces hand away from the radio again.
