3rd POV

It's the next morning and the Saltzman family had slept in with all of them needing to rest after the previous nights happenings. Kenna and RIc had woken first with Kenna wanting to make breakfast for the kids to give them a treat after what they had to endure the previous night.

"Hey babies, how are you feeling?" Kenna asks as Josie and Lizzie walk into the kitchen.

"Good, hungry." Lizzie says biting into a piece of bacon.

"I'm worried about Em and J, last night was a lot." Josie says with Kenna and Ric nodding agreeing.

"Don't be, we're okay." Jace says as he, Emery and Alec walk into the kitchen.

"Yeah, last night might have been hectic but its not something that we didn't know before. Klaus will always choose Hayley and his family and we're okay with it. We didn't want to get to know him and it's not like he has any interest either." Emery explains as Ric and Kenna sigh looking at each other.

"The only reason we went was so that there wouldn't be a fight and for Hope." Jace says as the family nods and grabs a plate to start to eat.

"Are Aunt D and Uncle Kol coming over for breakfast?" Alec asks wanting to lighten the conversation.

"Yes, I also invited Rebekah and the others if thats alright?" Kenna asks as the kids nod heading for the dinning room. She didn't want to hold a grudge over the family. Rebekah and Elijah had hurt her but she wanted to give them a chance to apologize and see if they've changed.

Once the guests arrive and everyones been invited in and are sitting together at the table enjoying their breakfast everything seems normal for the family again. Even with the guests they felt comfortable talking and laughing together talking about their upcoming plans and school. Hope who had come along couldn't help but think that the way the breakfast was going was the way that the dinner last night should have gone.

"So wait, he's your adoptive older brother and your uncle." Ric says trying to wrap his mind around the relationship between Hope and Marcel.

"Yeah, we have a brother sister type relationship as well, but when Bekah and I got together we thought it would be easier to just go with uncle and niece when introducing each other." Marcel says as the group laughs.

"So that we don't confuse everyone, it's simpler." Hope giggles.

"Well the Mikaelsons have never been known to do anything simply, were an extravagant bunch." Kol says.

"Oh we know, Koala, your nickname proves it." Kenna says as they laugh.

"I don't want to bring the mood down but I wanted to first apologize too Kenna." Rebekah says never finding the right time to bring it up.

"Kenna, I'm so sorry about everything that happened, when you and Klaus broke up I thought you wouldn't want to see me again. I thought it was better to give you space so I left and when Klaus told me about Hope, everything was so complicated that I never thought about moving back. I should have called, I should have checked up on you afterwords and I didn't. You were the closest thing I had to a sister, to a bestfriend and I left you when you needed me. I'm sorry Kenna. I hope one day you can forgive me." Rebekah rants getting tears in her eyes.

"Thank you Rebekah for the apology and I do want to forgive you and maybe one day I will, it's just not today." Kenna says wanting to forgive her old best friend but not knowing if she really fully could.

Rebekah nods knowing what she did was something heavy and hard, she realized it too late. Kenna smiles anyway wanting to find a way to let it all go. The group continues to make small talk and catch up.

"Hey, you good?" Jace asks Hope noticing the distant look in her eyes.

"Yeah, just sad that this wasn't the way dinner went last night." She explains.

"Forget about that, we always knew your mom didn't like us and your dad will see her for who she truly is one day." Jace says as Hope nods. She knew that her mothers hatred for Kenna and the twins was unneeded and what she had said the previous night was wrong but she couldn't help but think that maybe she could change. She was her mom and she would always love her but the way she was acting and the things she was saying weren't the woman that raised her.

"Hey are you going to the party?" Lizzie asks Hope excited as the adults were distracted.

"What party?" She asks.

"Upperclassmen like us hold one the night before the full moon usually just to party and let loose." Emery explains as Hope nods and smiles.

"Cool, my first school party, sounds like fun!" She says excited as the teens laugh at her wide smile.

The group decides to spend the day together with Rebekah inviting her sisters, Kenna and the girls to go shopping which the twins couldn't turn down. They of course had to drag along the boys to carry their bags not listening to their complaints. To everyones surprise the only ones who didn't complain too much were Ric, Alec and Jace.

"How are you guys not bored out of your minds?" Kol asks lifting up a new bag that Davina just handed him.

"Yeah, I'm dating Rebekah and still hate shopping." Marcel says as the three laugh.

"We got used to it and we learned that the more you complain the longer they stay just to torture us." Ric says as the two boys nod agreeing.

"So you guys are used to this?" Marcel asks.

"Oh yeah, we've been doing this since we were old enough to carry their bags." Jace says chuckling.

"And you love it, right bubba." Emery says coming over with an innocent smile and another bag.

"Of course, Em, anything for my baby sister." He says smirking as she glares.

"I'm only younger by like 5 minutes!" She says as the group chuckles.

"Still younger." He says as she sticks out her tongue and rolls her eyes.

"Alright you two, Jace don't make fun of your sister. Emery don't tease your brother." Ric says as the two smile at their father as he chuckles at their antics.

"Babe! Come look at this dress!" Kenna yells from the fitting room.

"Another plus." Ric smirks to the group as the kids make disgusted noises and the two men laugh.

"Dad, that's just gross." Alec says as the twins agree as Ric smiles at them walking away towards Kenna.

"So when do you think the weddings going to be?" Kol asks smirking towards the kids.

"Definitely soon, they've been in love for a long time just were to afraid to say anything." Emery says with the two boys nodding with a smile.

"I'm just glad they're finally happy and together and hopefully with no more drama they'll be able to realize they are deeply in love." Jace says with the group agreeing.

"Alec!!! Get over here please!" The group hears the one and only Lizzie yell from somewhere in the store.

"Well duty calls." He says making the group laugh as he walks towards where the yelling came from.

The family had extended now welcoming Rebekah, Marcel, Freya and Keelin and Hope who couldn't be happier with finally having a relationship with her half siblings and their siblings that had just as easily started to accept her. Ric and Kenna couldn't be happier, they were finally together and had their beautiful children along with some new friends. Their small family had grown but grown in a beautiful way with people they have come to respect, love and appreciate.
