Chapter Thirty Four

Kenna's POV

"RIC! Give me my candy back!" I whine as he once again speeds away from me with MY candy.

"Nope, you need to learn to share." He says with a smirk speeding away again as I chuckle at his playfulness.

"I said I'd give you some." I say smiling at him.

"You only gave me two!"

"That's more than one! making it some!" I say as we continue speeding around the room with me chasing him.

Once I've got him cornered with his back on my desk I use my powers to have the wind blow the candy back to me.

"HA I win." I say as we laugh and he pulls me towards him.

"You're lucky I love you cause that was cheating." He says as I chuckle and give him a peck on the lips.

"Am I forgiven?" I tease as he puts a fake thinking face.

"Hmm maybe, I think I need a little more convincing." He says bringing me into another kiss, this once being deeper making us smile into the kiss.

Of course our moment has to be interrupted by a loud cough. We look up to see the Mikaelson clan together along with Hayley and Hope but missing Kol and Davina who are probably in a class.

"Hey Ms. Forbes, sorry for the interruption." Hope says smiling at me.

"What did I say about the Ms. thing, Hope." I say as she smiles at me and nods.

"Right, Kenna, sorry for interrupting we just wanted to talk to you about something." Hope explains.

"Of course, come on in everyone." I say rolling my eyes at the smirk that Hayley has.

"Hi, I don't know if you remember but I'm Freya and this is my wife Keelin." Freya says looking to me and Ric.

"Of course, we remember." Ric says smiling at her.

"We just wanted to talk you about volunteering here, we both want to help out if we can, I can help the witches and Keelin the wolves, if that alright." Freya says looking excited.

I look towards Ric as we silently look to each other and he nods at me as I smile.

"Sure, we'll have to talk to you two privately to just get to know you two and introduce you to the curriculum and the students, are you guys free sometime tomorrow?" I ask opening up our planner to find a time for them.

"Anytime you guys are available." Keelin says smiling.

"Alright, just come in tomorrow morning and we'll walk you through a few classes till you get the hang of it." Ric says as they smile nodding and thank us.

"Is that all you guys needed? Hope should be in class." I say as Klaus shakes his head.

"No actually Hope brought up the miss mystic falls pageant at dinner last night and we just wanted to know how to sign her up." Klaus says.

I nod looking to Ric as he looks to me a little worried, the pagaeant requires the girls to have signed up months ago and go through an interview process.

"That's actually not possible, I'm sorry." I say to Hope as she nods smiling a little.

"How is that not possible? Are you not allowing her in because your daughters are in it?!" Hayley yells as I roll my eyes at her outburst.

"Mom! Please." Hope says as Hayley shakes her head.

"No she isn't allowing you in just because she knows you'll win." Hayley says.

"Hayley thats enough." Elijah says as she looks to me glaring more.

"First of all it's not up to me and second she can't sign up the court has been decided for weeks now." I explain as the Mikaelsons nod but Hayley still looks pissed.

"We completely understand, Kenna." Rebekah says holding Hayleys shoulder probably afraid she'll attack again like last time.

"MOM!" Emery and Jace shout together coming into the office along with their siblings.

"Oops, sorry didn't know there was people." Jace says coming over to kiss mine and Ric's cheek along with the rest.

"It's alright, we were just talking about the upcoming pageant." I say as they nod and the younger twins look excited.

"OMG it's going to be amazing! I can't wait, are you going Hope?" Lizzie asks making me and Ric smile at how open the kids have become to Hope.

"She will be competing along with you." Hayley says smirking as the Mikaelsons and Hope frown at her.

"No, mom I won't be you heard Kenna." Hope says looking at her mom with pleading eyes.

"She's gong to put you in, aren't you Kenna." She says giving me a look that is supposed to be intimidating.

I scoff at her along with Ric as her smirk falters a little.

"We've already explained it to you, it is not up to us and it's too late for anyone to enter, she needed to be
here months before and go though a screening and interview process, which she didn't." Ric says glaring at her along with me.

"So then just compel them to allow her in." Hayley says. She's really starting to piss me off.

"Hayley!" Elijah and Klaus yell together as she rolls her eyes.

"We are honest here, we don't compel others when we need something , we've even had them put vervain in the water system for the town so nobody can be compelled." Alec says as they nod.

"I'm sorry for this, Kenna. We just wanted to see if it was possible but if its not we'll be going." Elijah says.

"That's probably best, don't forget to come in tomorrow." I say to Keelin and Freya as they nod.

"Hey Hope, you coming to join us for dinner tonight?" Emery says smiling at her as Hope looks to her with a big smile.

"Can I?" She asks looking to me and Ric.

"Of course, Hope you're always welcomed. Kol and Davina will be there as well." I say as she smiles at me. I look up to see the sad faces on Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus, I feel a little bad but can I let them back in?

"Yay! Maybe we can have a sleep over?! Bring some clothes." Josie says looking towards us with a smile.

"Sure sweetie, as long as you guys don't stay up to late, oh and if its alright with Hope." Ric says.

"Can I?" Hope whispers towards Klaus as he smiles at her and nods.

"Cool, I'll get some snacks to get us through the day." Emery says going over to Rics desk as I look to her confused.

She opens up a drawer at the bottom of Rics desk that's always locked, I thought that was where he kept his whiskey bottle that I always confiscate from him. She opens it up and I see that its filled with a bunch of snack and my candy!

"YOU LIAR, YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T HAVE MY CANDY!" I yell as he looks to me with wide eyes as the kids along with Hope and the Mikaelsons laugh, except Hayley of course.

"I love you." He says smiling at me.

"I love you too, baby, but you better run for your life." I say smiling at him sweetly as he slowly starts to take steps away from me.

"If it makes it better, I get those for the kids." He says slowly as I glare.

"Wait, you give them my candy!" I say as his eyes get wide.

"Dad, you better run." Jace says moving away from us.

"Shit!" Ric says speeding away as I run after him.
