🌻What Happened to Darry🌻

(Darrel's POV)

I was at work when I got an anxious call from Soda.
"Hey little buddy, what's up?" I asked.
"Uhh, Dar, we're in the hospital, Mack's in labor. You need to get here like NOW." He said. Then before I could talk the phone got transferred. Mack was on the phone.

"Hi sunshine, I'm on my way right now okay?" I asked.
"Mhmm OW-" She yelled. Must be a contraction. "I just need you here, I can't do it without you." She started crying. She broke my heart.
"Baby, you're going to be just fine, I'll be there soon!" I said while grabbing my jacket.

I hung up the phone and ran to the car. I got to the door and Lindsay stopped me. I thought we were done with this bitch.

"Hey Darry! Why you in a hurry?" She asked.
"Sorry Lindsay but I have to go, my wife is in labor." I said and opened the door.
"Awww yay! Boy or girl?" She asked.
"Girl, I have to go!" I insisted but she was holding my door open.
"Can I meet you there?" She asked.
"What? No!" I said and shut the door.

I put in the keys and started the car. I pulled away and started driving as fast as I could. I was about a block from the hospital when a car came from the side speeding.

SLAM! They hit the side of my car. I smacked my head into the dashboard and I had a bloody nose and lip. I looked over and Lindsay was climbing out of the car. Of fucking course she would do this.

A cop pulled up and and ambulance. They looked at me and said I needed to go to the hospital to be checked.
"Let's go Mr?" He asked.
"Curtis." I finished. "Listen sir, my wife is in labor in the hospital and I need to see her." They looked concerned. "Please! I need to help her!" I said.

They walked me over to the hospital and tried to get me checked before going to her room. Then one of the nurses came out and was looking around.

"Please Mr. Curtis let us help you." A nurse said. The other nurse looked at me and said, "Darrel Curtis?"
"Yes Ma'am! Where's Mackenzie?" I asked.

The nurse brought me to her room. I ran in and saw Mack yelling in pain. I ran up and kissed her forehead and grabbed her hand.

She was wondering what happened. "It doesn't matter Sunshine, it's time to push okay?" I asked and she nodded nervously.

The doctor told her to push. She screamed out in pain. She squeezed my hand. I was holding a damp towel to her head to keep her cooled. It looked so painful, my sunshine is a hero.

She was about to give up on her last push. She just looked at me and shook her head with tears in her eyes. She laid back on the bed a little. Everyone was watching us as I leaned down and patted her head.

"Sunshine, one more push. You can do it love. One more push for a lifetime of happiness. One more push to see our beautiful little girl. One more push." I said while holding eye contact. She held my hand tighter and began to push again.
