(Mackenzie's POV)

I was driving through the night until I found a little diner to stop at. I looked back to see two fussy kids. I decided we should have some breakfast.

I pulled out my seatbelt and grabbed my purse. I got the kids out too and went to the diner. Emily is breastfeeding so I'll feed her after to make sure she's actually getting nutrients.

I went in and ordered Nolan some pancakes and I got an omelette and coffee. The waitress was obsessed with Emily and got a kick out of Nolan. They are a bit cute, I guess. Who am I kidding, I have two of the cutest kids on Earth.

While Nolan was eating I saw a phone booth that was in the diner and I had view of the kids. It was only a booth away. I grabbed 50 cents and headed over.

I dialed in our home phone. It rang and rang. No answer. I was worried so I used my next quarter and redialed. Nothing. Now I was scared but I figured it's not going to work so I stopped.

I went back and finished up breakfast with the kids. I payed the bill and we got back into the car. I fed Emily and started the car. I was driving as the kids fell asleep again.

I made it to a motel and decided here was good until I got some answers. I pulled in and it wasn't one of those creepy ones, it was actually pretty nice. It was on a little farm too.

I called the house phone again. No answer. I called again. The phone rang until the last sound where it picked up.
"Hello?" I said.
"Oh hi Mack." Lindsay said.
"Where's Darry. I need to talk to Darry." I said.
"Oh, I'm not sure he wants to talk." She said slyly.
"Really? Because I'm pretty sure he wants to talk to his wife and kids." I said and she huffed.

The phone was transferred over.
"Darry?" I asked.
"Mack! How are the babies? Are you okay?" He said.
"Yeah I'm okay sunshine, the babies are too. Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah yeah I'm alright." He said. You could tell he was just trying to make sure I was calm. "Okay baby, I have to go now, but I love you so much." He said.
"I love you too." I said and the line cut out. I instantly got back in the car with the kids and started driving home.

(Darrel's POV)

The phone rang. And it rang again. Then it stopped.
A few hours later it rang. And it rang again. But this time Lindsay grabbed the phone. All those other guys had left. They left after they tied me down to a chair. Now it was just me and the bitch.

She was obviously talking to Mack. At first she was denying her to talk to me. Then she got annoyed and walked over. She pulled the cloth that was keeping my mouth shut down and held the phone to my ear.

I got to talk to my angel and I knew they were all safe. As long as they're okay, I'm okay. Then the bitch hung up the phone before Mack could even finish saying 'I love you.' I just hope whatever happens she doesn't come back yet.
