(Mackenzie's POV)

We broke out of the hug and we were all just smiling. "I missed you." I sniffled out through my tears.
"Yeah? I missed you too, sunshine." He said and kissed my cheek.

We made our way into the living room. We sat down on the couch and he held Emily. Nolan sat on the ground, trying to get Darry's attention, he wanted to play Dino's. It has been a while. Nolan hasn't played Dino's with him in about two weeks which is a lot for a four year old. Darry was laughing at Nolan while just watching Emily.

He held out his finger and she grabbed it. He just smiled with the dopey awe that he does. I moved closer to him so my head was on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead softly.

"I love you." He whispered.
"I love you more." I whispered back.
"I love you mostest." He said. We both just smiled at each other. Our lips collided again and the world just felt right.

Soon it was late and we put the kids to sleep. We sat on the couch together and cuddled. I was fully in his lap and he was holding onto me. I snuggled closer to his chest and smelled his cologne. This is the best feeling in the world.

Slowly we both started to drift off when we heard a loud knock. We jumped up. I scooted off Darry's lap and he went to get the door.

He stepped outside and it was a few minutes before he came back in and slowly shut the door. He came over to me in a rush and hugged me tight. I didn't hesitate to cling onto him.

"What's wrong sunshine?" I asked.
"You need to get the kids, take the car, and get out of here." He said quietly yet sternly.
"What? I don't understand-" I said but he cut me off.
"You just have to do it okay? I'll explain soon, sunshine. Just do that and call me once you get somewhere safe okay?" He said.
"Where should I go?" I asked.
"Out of Tulsa." He said with tears. "I'll see you soon baby."

"No! I'm not going anywhere without you!" I said loudly.
"I'm sorry Mack, but you have too. It'll be okay, I'll be with you soon." He pushed me towards the room quietly and helped me grab things.
"Why? Who's out there?" I asked.
"Lindsay. And it's not good. If you want the kids, yourself, and I to live, you need to do this okay?" He asked while looking into my eyes.
"Fine. But you tell me now." I said.

"I can't tell you all of it but Lindsay's even worse than you thought. Please just be careful." He said and gave me a kiss goodbye.

I grabbed the baby and Nolan's hand. He was being whiny about leaving and so was I. Darry gave us each a long hug and kiss goodbye. I was full on sobbing and so was he. I don't understand why he's doing this.

He went to the front and distracted Lindsay while I snuck the kids out to the car. I had to do it quietly and he brought Lindsay inside to keep her from seeing me.

(Darrel's POV)

I watched as my little sunshine got the kids in the car. She looked back at the window and I gave her the motion to go. She reluctantly agreed and got in the car. I looked around and saw Lindsay going through the house looking for any sign of the kids or Mack.

"Where are they Darrel?" She said pissed off.
"They're gone." I said simply.
"Well, where'd they go?" She said through gritted teeth.
"I. Don't. Know." I responded.

"Well Dar, there's only one way for them to come back now huh?" She said that and about 5 guys the same size as me came in.
"What do you want?" I said.
"We made a deal." She said. I knew I had no chance of escaping because I was surrounded. So I left them grab me and I went with them.
