part thirty one

7:30 am

i go turn off my alarm and head straight into the bathroom

i use the bathroom and brush my teeth and fix my hair real quick

i change into my uniform and make my bed and then i get a text from mariah

mariah🥵: i don't wanna come with you today. i'm tired.
alex💜: whatever you say. imma leave soon
mariah🥵: okay be careful
alex💜: i will n you too hoe

i call my parents to say good morning. they kept asking questions about everything n the boys. i try answering all their questions. then i said i have to go. which is true. i make it downstairs n in our kitchen.

surprisingly there's food stocked up in here so that's good at least. i get a bowl from the cabinet n pour sum coco puffs. i know. not that healthy but it's whatever. i sit on the table n start eating my cereal. i go on to tiktok.

soon i finish my cereal so i clean the bowl n leave it to dry. i grab my bag n my keys n i head outside to my car. i bet none of the boys are awake so i don't wanna text em. i get in my car n set my bag on the passenger seat.

i start the car n i head out. after 30 minutes of listening to music i finally make it. i go in n unlock the store. we open later on wednesdays. i clock in n put on my apron n name tag. i get the coffee ready n all the muffins and soon were ready to open.

i unlock the door n turn the sign to open. after like 30 minutes, sum customers start coming in. it's been a hour n it's a slow day. everyone is eating or leaving. so i can go on my phone for now. i check my phone to see that i got a text from daniel.

daniel🤩: hey. i saw that your car isn't here. just wanted to check up on you.

i smile at his text.

alex💜: yeah i'm fine. sorry i forgot to tell you that i have work. it's pretty slow here so yeah
daniel🤩: oh okay. good. i was getting scared.
alex💜: awe daniel got worried about me. how nice
daniel🤩: shush or i'll never worry about you again
alex💜: like that's a punishment. i've only known you for 4 days. i think i can handle how it was before
daniel🤩: wow that was lowkey harsh
alex💜: awe did i hurt your feelings??
daniel🤩: kinda
alex💜: i sorry
daniel🤩: i can hear your voice saying that
alex💜: haha
daniel🤩: you don't get in trouble for being on your phone at work?
alex💜: nope not really. when it's slow i can be on my phone.
daniel🤩: so it's slow right now?
alex💜: yep
daniel🤩: you want me to come?
alex💜: it's totally up to you. it doesn't matter. jake is gonna come soon.
daniel🤩: who is jake again?
alex💜: my coworker
daniel🤩: have y'all ever been more?
alex💜: no...
daniel🤩: just asking. okay i'll see you in around an hour
alex💜: okay be safe.
daniel🤩: i will n you too

i smile reading the texts. i put my phone away as more customers come in.

1 hour later

more n more customers have been coming in n leaving. soon i look up n see daniel walk in. i have the biggest smile. n so does he. i move from the counter n go up to hug him. we hug each other tightly. acting like we haven't seen each other in years. we let go n i go back counter because another customer came.

i take their order n i get them seated. i get her coffee n her muffin. i give it to her n i give back my focus to daniel. we keep talking. i keep having to interrupt because i have to do my job still haha.

after an hour n a half jake pops up so it's toke to take my break. i clock out n grab my back. me n daniel go sit at a table. we start talking n i finish the rest of my assignments. it's been like 10 minutes. i still have 25 minutes left of my break.

daniel: so would it be okay if i told the rest of the boys what happened?
alex: i don't know if we should
daniel: they kept asking me about the situation last night
alex: what did they say?
daniel: they said that they'll get it outta me sooner or later. n if they did i just didn't want to tell em without your permission
alex: honestly tell em if you want
daniel: you sure?
alex: yeah. that's if they keep asking
daniel: okay thanks.
alex: i already told mariah sorry
daniel: don't be. i know you guys are best friends n tell each other everything
alex: thank god you understand. i should've asked you first but she saw the hickeys right away.
daniel: how-
alex: i don't know. literally when everyone came in to see my room she saw it
daniel: wow
alex: i know right

we keep on talking n soon my break is over. daniel has to leave because the boys need him. we hug bye n then he leaves. a few more hours n then my shift is done for today. i hug jake bye n i head back to my house. 30 minutes later i make it there. i turn off my car n i see zach running to me.
