"Get out of my chair" I shot Ezra a glare as I walked into my office.

"Lady I am the king here" he had a sarcastic tone but we both knew he meant it. He didn't have to establish that he was the King but this was my house.

"Not in this building you're not". Facts. This was my version of a throne.

Ezra rolled his eyes and rounded the table as I made myself comfortable in my big cozy chair.

"Is there any information you can give me that I don't already know King?" I looked at Ezra.

"Nothing new has come up" i heard Ethan from across the room.

"Nathaniel just called " I leaned back "Huntley is closed off completely. So I told him to come back home " I eyed all of them. I was the one that had been asleep or rather dead for almost an entire day.

"Tell him to head to Gervase. He can stay there for a while and work from there" Axel glanced at me and then back to Ezra "How bad is it?" He started making his way over from the window.

"Its not a plague Axel. Its an attack" i sat up straight " a calculated one"

"What do you mean?" His eyes furrowed at me.

" Hunters" i gave them my most sarcastic smile "they were seen entering and leaving the Kingdom"

"How do you know that?" Ethan began walking towards the table too.

"I have friends in low places" i smirked.

But I was not near satisfied. I was confused. Huntley was a ruthless place to be. Even for vampires. Their relationships with other kingdoms were strained because of their mad ruler. Pheonix Hunter. Gervase had nothing to do with them since the War. Not surprising at all. Kallihan stayed far too. I didn't really know any other kingdom that had a good word for that place. So the fact that hunters were roaming freely there was concerning.

"That didn't answer the question Sage" Ezra's voice held authority. I didn't scare me but I was going to tell him anyway.

"I supply bloodbags to a few areas on the outskirts there" I leaned back in my chair.

"You what?" He slammed his hand against the table.

I didn't reply. I just returned his glare with the same coldness.

"You do business with Huntley?"he stood up slow, the anger visible behind his eyes.

"Yes" i enunciated "so thanks to me you just found out something of actual use. Your guards didn't even get close ." I smiled again, knowing it would piss him off even more " You really need to fire some of them Ezra."

"Do you have any idea the damage that man caused us?" Axel was looking down at the table with his fists clenched and resting on the table.

I knew how much damage the war had caused everyone. But the fact that they were bringing this up again somehow annoyed me. It happened centuries back and it was high time they acted like fucking grown ups and let it go. Besides the war didn't actually concern me.

"Yes I know..."

"No you don't" he shot his eyes up at me "if you the slightest idea what happened during the war.."

"Your War" i cut him off, pointing my finger at him . "Your War which you dragged us into" I still managed to keep my cool and remain seated.

"I didn't drag anyone into anything Sage" he took a step towards me "your brother got himself into shit as much as I did" I could see Ezra running his hand down his face from the side of my eye.
