Sage

"Sage"

"Sage....wake up"

I felt my head roll back against something hard. My hair was all over my face. I heard a distant voice calling out my name.

"Axel" was the first name that came to mind and rolled off my tongue.

"Damnit, Sage"

That wasn't Axel.

"Fuck" I felt a sharp pain on my wrists.

I tried pulling my hands up . Nothing. It took me a while to realise I was actually tied up.

I started coming around when I remembered what happened earlier. The body was still aching. My mind was starting to clear up making me more and more aware of the stabbing pain in my gut.

I crunched down. The windows caved in. That's it. That was the last thing I remember.

My body felt so weak as if I had been drained of every ounce of blood. I managed to flutter open my eyes.

"Donovan?" I whispered as his face came into focus and my vision started clearing up. The room was so dark, barely illuminated by a few candles. He was in a chair a few feet away from me, head hung low. My eyes travelled down to his hands. They were tied down in chains. I looked down at mine. Same.

"Sage" I heard a whisper .

I looked to my side to see Ezra in the same position as us. Chained up. Dishevelled.

"Ezra, what hap.."

"Fucking witches" he spat out a little blood to the side.

I looked down at my hands and tried to wrench through the chains.

"It's no use," he whispered.

"What about him?" I looked at Donovan.

"He hasn't woken up yet" Ezra breathed out.

"Where are we?" I looked around. We were in a small room. There was a window a few feet away from us. All I could see were trees surrounding as far as my eyesight went.  This is probably where the witches were hiding. But I was more than certain they had a cloaking spell on around here too.  Maybe even a boundary spell or something like that...they wouldn't have left us in here with an open window if there wasn't.

"I don't know" he looked around "Probably a few miles into Wallough"

"How the hell are we going to get out? No one knows we're here"

Ezra shook his head and tried to gesture something to me but I didn't understand.

We heard a shift.

"Donovan?" I leaned down a little to see if his eyes were open but it was too dark. "Donovan" I hissed out under my breath not wanting anyone else to hear us.

His head rolled back but he was still unconscious.

"Where are those bitches?" I looked through the open door, trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness.

"No clue" Ezra was so calm, sitting down as if it didn't matter to him that we were trapped. "I can't hear anything outside"

"Probably a spell blocking us out" I tried looking out of the window. Still no use. It was dark, but even in the moonlight nothing was visible.

"We need to get out" I somehow had enough strength to try and tug at my chains again.

"Its no fucking use Sage. Stop wasting your energy. We can't get out. These chains are spelled" he snapped at me with an annoyed tone.
