"Xander"

I stormed through the palace door, swinging them open.

"Xander!"

"Sage?" I heard his startled voice in the distance, followed by hurried footsteps.

I followed the direction of the footsteps to the staircase in the corner of the hallway.

"I know you're used to being around vampires Sage but I need some damn sleep" he yelled as he got closer.

I waited for him at the bottom of the staircase, only to see him appear from around the corner in nothing but his track pants.

"Where is Arabella?" I shot back.

"What do mean where is Arabella? You fucked up my sleep for this?" He put his hands on his hips, still standing at the top of the staircase.

"Yes I did" i gave him a glare.

"She left to see her friend" he shot back in an annoyed tone.

"Yes I know that. But you said you were going to make arrangements. What did you do?" I was so annoyed.

"What the hell is happening Sage?" he began walking down the stairs.

"We're still linked" i ran my hand my hand through my hair. "She got in my head calling out for help and then I had these visions.."

"Okay okay. Calm down" he put his hands on my shoulder.

"Don't tell me to calm down" i gave him a glare.

"What vision?"

"A road. There was blood all over. Forest on either side. There was a car burning.."

"What kind of car?" He furrowed his brows at me.

"I don't know Xander. I was too busy crying out in pain from a witch messing with my damn head" I snapped.

He ran his hand down his face, frustrated.

"Stefan went to drop her"

"Where did they go?"

"The road you described..." his voice trailed off. "Was it a concrete road or rough terrain like what we came through?"

"The flashes were quick.... but I'm pretty sure it was a decent road" i put my hands on my hips.

He looked at me with concern and shook his head.

"Thre are two roads like the one you described" his voice held nothing but concern.

"Where is that?" I raised my hands gesturing him to continue.

I heard a car honk outside. I knew Axel had brought the car out front, ready to go find her.

"One is the main road that leads to Kallihan, west from here and the other south to Mabery" he hesitated on that last part. I understood why.

Mabery was hunter's territory. It made no sense for either of them to go down there. And Kallihan.... witches tend to stay away from vampires anyway. So why would they take either of those routes.

I heard the sound of honking. This time it was continuous.

"Who is that?" Xander snapped

"Probably Axel. He said he's going to get the car" I shook my head.

The sound was annoying and itv was late at night. I knew Axel was annoyed, having to go out now but that didn't mean he gets to wake up the castle.
