Baseball has been back in full swing and I honestly love it. I mean yeah Christian is gone half of the time, but it's nice to have space once in a while. He's home now for the weekend and we have our first ultrasound together where we are going to see the baby for the first time. "Are you excited for today?" He asked me to walk into the bathroom where I was getting ready to go out.

"Yeah, I'm so excited to see our little guy or girl together. Do you want it to be a boy or a girl?" I asked and he smiled. "I'm okay with either, as long as he or she is healthy." He said. "How do you want to announce it to everyone? Or are we not going to do it until we have the baby?" I asked him, it's something that we have talked about, but nothing too seriously.

"I mean, no one really knows that you're in my life, they don't even know about my personal life. I'm not the one to put stuff out there all the time. I would announce that you're my girlfriend first, but you're not that." He said and I sighed, I do agree with him. I know that announcing our pregnancy is going to cause an uproar and I'm going to get a lot of hate. "I get where you're coming from, I really don't want to get all that hate either that I know that is going to come with dating you, whenever you decide to ask me to be your girlfriend." I said and he smiled.

"I know I know, but you just got out of a five year relationship, I don't think you really want to go into something that fast." He said and I agree, getting right into something with him isn't the best thing to do right now. "Alright, we're going to be late if you don't hurry up." He said walking out of my room. I sighed and finished getting ready. As we were getting into the car, my phone was ringing and it was my mom.

"Hi mom, what's going on?" I asked. "Nothing much, just checking up on you, do you have a doctors appointment today?" She asked. "Yes I do, we're going to see the baby for the first time today." I said to her and Christian started driving to the doctors office. "Oh, you'll definitely have to send me some pictures, I can't wait to see my little grandson or granddaughter." She said and I smiled. "I know I'm excited too." We talked a little more before I had to let her go because we were at the doctors office.

We walked into the doctor's office and checked in and got all the paperwork that I had to fill out, what a joy. Not. Eventually, we got called back and they did the normal check up for weight and what not and then the nurse came in and started asking us, really mostly me, questions. "So, is this your first child?" She asked and I smiled. "Yes it is." She smiled and told me to lay back.

She put the gel on my stomach and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and I couldn't help but cry. Christian saw that I was crying and took my hand. "We're parent's." He said and I turned to look at him and smiled. "Yeah, we're parents."

I looked back at the screen. "So it looks like you're going to be due around Valentines Day." She said and I couldn't help but be happy and sad because that's when spring training starts and I know Christian will be away most of the time. "Everything is going to be okay." He said and I smiled and that's when I knew it would be just fine.
