Background Knowledge

It has been 6 months since you fell into the Underground and you've become friends with almost everyone. You live at Sans and Papyrus's house in exchange for doing chores around the house. But, as of late, everyone has been avoiding you and you have no idea why.

Your POV

I sigh in exasperation. Again. They brushed you off yet again. I don't understand. All I wanted to do was talk to Papyrus, but Sans popped in out of no where and said that they were busy at the moment. And then they were gone. I walk out of the kitchen and head toward the door.

"Fine," I say to myself. "If no one will talk with me here, then I'll head to Waterfall. I'm sure someone there will tell me what's going on."

Time Skippity

I've been looking around Waterfall for a while now and I haven't seen anyone. I know that Waterfall isn't usually filled to the brim with monsters, but there is always at least one monster hanging around.

I'm about to go back to the house when I see the outline of a monster in the distance. I get closer and realize who the monster was.

"Undyne!"

I run over to her and tap her arm. I would have tapped her shoulder, but all monsters were abnormally tall. I mean come on. Sans is a monster who is considered 'short' and even he's taller than me. Now I know how all of those short people in high school feel when people make fun of their height.

She turns around and freezes when her eyes focus on me. "Finally! I found someone! I've been looking everywhere to find someone to talk to. Everyone has been ignoring me lately and I have no idea why! I wanted to ask if you knew any...hey why are you backing away from me?" 

During my little rant, Undyne had been slowly backing away from me. She mumbled something that was too quiet for me to hear, but I don't think I had to worry about what she said because she yells out of frustration.

"DAMN IT!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO DO THIS! AND ALL FOR THAT DAMN...ARGH!!"

And with that she rushes off, still yelling. I blink a few times still processing what just happened. I sigh for the millionth time this week and walk away. 

I wander for a bit and then settle down near some echo flowers. "Hi." I said to one of them and then tapped one of the petals. "Hi." It said back. Before long I was 'talking' with the echo flower. I took a pause in the conversation and looked at the flower.

"Well this is depressing."

This time I didn't tap its petal, so it just stayed silent. I laid on my back and stretched out my soar body. I wonder what everyone is doing without me. They've never left me out before. I turn over and lay on my side, curling into myself. I thought at least Sans would care if I was alone. . .

And after a few seconds I fell asleep.

(What magic is this?! Falling asleep almost instantly?! Impossible.)

Sans's POV

I quickly grab my bro and hastily tell y/n that we were busy at the moment before teleporting away. I sigh in relief. We can't have her figuring out what we are planning. I walk over to Alphys and inspect her work. "Howzit going, Alphys?" She turns to me surprised.
