The two boys exited out of the castle and into the deceivingly cold sun. The air was brisk and seemed to constantly bite bitterly at Cedric's face
He buried his hands deeply into his pockets and glanced to the side to see Harry's breath hanging in the air. The January air was unforgivably nasty, a type of cold that would sit with you for hours despite cozy fires and numerous layers of clothes
"Harry would you like my jumper? Or my scarf you look like your freezing" Cedric offered softly, instantly taking notice of how Harry's nose had turned pink and how his cheeks had become a bright shade of red
"N-no I'm fine...thanks though" Harry stuttered out through clattering teeth, he attempted to smile though it was more of an uncomfortable looking grimace
"You sure? You look pretty cold..."
"I'm not" Harry shot quickly, though his shivering and relentlessly clattering teeth betrayed him
Cedric raised an eyebrow skeptically at Harry causing the younger it to pout and cross his arms over his chest
"Please, at the very least take my scarf" Cedric encouraged through a small smile, handing it to Harry who reluctantly took ahold of it and wrapped it around his exposed neck
"Yellow suits you" the Hufflepuff quipped quietly
"Shut up" Harry said though a small smile, his cheeks burning crimson as he was consumed by an embarrassed blush
Cedric grinned and pointed to a long, flat rock in the distance, "lets take a seat?"
Harry nodded, his eyes lingering on Cedric a moment longer than he would've liked, betraying how incredibly attached he was becoming to the charming older boy
They paced over to the rock and both lowered onto it. It was cold at first but quickly they both became used to it
They were sitting close, Harry had surprised Cedric by choosing to sit extra close. Cedric concluded it was likely due to his desperation for heat
"So Harry what I wanted to bring you out here for..." Cedric trailed off simply staring into Harry's eyes, the intense green orbs that met him threw him off his train of thought and left him in a mesmerized state of admiration
"Yes?" Harry asked eagerly, eyeing Cedric with an intensity and desperation that made Cedric grin
"You're cute when your so desperate" Cedric said through a grin, gently nudging Harry's arm
The younger boy frowned and shoved Cedric, though Cedric didn't move at all
"Tell me!" Harry snapped, though seeing the shocked look on Cedric's face he added on a quick 'please'
"Alright alright Potter, you know patience is a virtue right?" Cedric grinned, knowing his nonchalant attitude was likely pissing off the other boy
"Well...?" Harry asked anxiously, looking at Cedric so desperately it felt cruel to continue his tormenting act
"Well, I brought you out here to talk about the egg, I've figured something out and I think I owe it to you to tell you, since you did tell me about those dragons..." Cedric gave Harry one of his most softest smiles and felt victorious when he saw the way Harry stammered for words
