Epilogue

The first time i saw her my heart starts beating fast suddenly, I was catching my breath. I was taken aback by her smile and her beauty but i set it all aside. Thinking that this feeling is just something that would fade away.

"Basted ako kay Lia pre." Sabi ni Kyle na kagaya ko ay isang Basketball Varsity din. Nagtawanan ang ibang kasama namin samantalang nantili lang ako nakangisi. Lia is that girl that bothers my dreams. Everytime i close my eyes her smiling image was the first thing that comes to my mind and i dont know why.

"Sabi ko naman sayo eh, Wag na iyon. May crush nga yon kay Hiro." Nagulat ako nang mabanggit ang pangalan ko. Gulat na tumingin ako kay Tristan na nagsabi non.

"I'll call you back, something happened." Sabi ko bago ibinaba ang tawag. Is that a dream? Tinignan ko ang ilalim ng kumot. There's a blood stain in it. Shit! It's not a dream! I looked for her all over the room yet she wasn't there. I hurriedly wore my clothes before checking out of the hotel room. Why did she left? I faced palmed when I remembered that i blacked out. The pain started to spread in my heart as she said that night didn't mean anything to her. That night, I thought it meant something. I thought she likes me back. Gusto kong tumawa. "Buti naman, Me And Mary are getting married this year at ayoko namang may pipigil sa kasal namin at magsasabi ng kung ano-ano. I'll send you an invitation" I said before walking away.

Months passed and i saw her again. Things didn't change, My heart still beats fast everytime i see her. Many things happened, Nalaman kong may anak na kami at na kay Mary ito. She kidnapped my son to blackmail me if i will divorce her, knowing that our marriage isn't true.

"Will you Akihiro Dale Delacroix take Aliara Kaye Seranuez As your lawfully wedded wife, for richer and for poorer in sickness and in health 'till death do you part?" As i hear those words i was staring at the girl i thought I couldn't reach.

"I do father." Sagot ko. Lia smiled at me as the priest said the most awaited line.

"You may now kiss the bride." The crown cheered as i leaned in to her. Tinaas ko ang belo bago tuluyang lumapit sa kanya. I kissed her tenderly as i hold her by her waist.

"Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary baby." Lia said as she hugged me. There's nothing i could ask more. Morning hugs with her. I hugged her back before whispering.

"Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary" i kissed her bago kami Tuluyan na bumangon ng kama at bumaba sa kusina. She made me coffee as i made some calls. May party mamaya sa garden namin. Kaya tinatawagan ko na silang lahat. I stared at her back as she cook our breakfast. The kids are still asleep, they usually wake up around 10 am since it's summer.

I still can't believe that she married me. It's been 10 years and the memory of our wedding still lingers to my head like it just happened. We were just drinking coffee together, eating our breakfast and not talking yet i feel contented. Every morning, waking up and seeing her face first in the morning, Us drinking our coffe together, having morning hugs with the person that made me feel that all my flaws wouldn't matter, bacause being beside her is enough to make my heart beat like the first time i saw her.
