This expresses the cultural and spiritual connection that people have with their homelands. FOr Australia, this could be a reference to the traditional custodians of the land, the Indigenous Australians and the Stolen Generation. The protagonist is connected with their home, and whenever they leave it, they feel like they're leaving themselves (LOL Red Desert just came on my Spotify!)

For the first few years of their life, the protagonist was asleep while living. They had visions of leaving and exploring but don't have the heart to do so.

Why doesn't the protagonist leave their fears and just take a leap of faith? Well, while they're young, the protagonist can only do so much.

This is directed at the listener, would you do what 5sos did and pack up all your bags and leave your homeland? By saying you're the only one I'd do this for the boys mean that we as a fanbase are the reason they did it.

Replacing the old country is easy. Trouble follows you everywhere but you try to stop them from attacking you. The trouble keeps persisting however, you have to overcome it to get to know yourself (see Old Me)
