Lyrics and their meaning:

Lover of mine
Maybe we'll take some time
Kaleidoscope mind
Gets in the way
Hope and I pray
Darling, that you will stay
Butterfly lies
Chase them away
Hmm

This song is not as clear as some of the others songs on its themes. Personally, I take this first 'verse' (idk if it really is a verse) as showing how the relationship is slowly falling apart. Based on the idea of the album, the begining can really mean anything but I take it as the kaleidoscope mind is controlling their movement or obscuring how they see reality. Saying I hope and I pray, darling that you will stay is very bold. Maybe the protagonist has messed up previously or they are no longer being obscured by the kaleidoscope mind. Butterfly lies could mean nerves or tiny lies and they apparently chase them away. So it could be that they chase the partner away or they chase the kaleidoscope minds away/

Dance around the living room
Lose me in the sight of you
I've seen the red, I've seen the blue
Take all of me
Lead to where your secrets are
Where we've been a thousand times
Swallow every single lie
Take all of me

This is a mature reflection of what has happened in the past. The good and the bad. An example of the good would be the first line dance around the living room. And the bad would be I've seen the red, I've seen the blue which can be reflected as red representing oxygenated blood and blue representing bruises. Another interesting line is swallow every single lie. Does it mean to keep them to yourself, or is your subconscious constantly making theories up?

I'll never give you away
'Cause I've already made that mistake
If my name never fell off your lips again
I know it'd be such a shame
When I take a look at my life
And all of my crimes
You're the only thing that I think I got I right
I'll never give you away
'Cause I've already made
Already made that mistake

This part shows how the protagonist has failed in the past ('cause I've already made that mistake) but has matured over time to try not to redo that crime as the song calls it.

It is so cute how the protagonist says that their partner is the only thing that they've gotten right, maybe it's a step forward for the relationship.

Lover of mine
I know you're colorblind
I watched the world fall from your eyes
Ooh
All my regrets
And things you can't forget
Light them all up
Kiss them goodbye

Here we have the protagonist almost snapping. They realise that their partner is hurt or upset and they won't be able to fix it. Personally, I take kiss them goodbye literally by saying that they will kiss them and say goodbye after because they know it is what's best for them.

Favourite Lyric: kaleidoscope mind gets in the way

Yay or nay: Absolute YAY!

What it reminds me of; Again we have a very unique song that I can't really refer it back to anything. It's still a really good song though!
