Wendy Darling

MORNINGS became Wendy's worst part of the day including midnight. It was the time when she felt her guts rumble with each other as her mind call out for the toilet to release all of it out.

However, today was different.

"Good morning, Mommy," she sweetly greeted, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"You're quite early?"

"I miss Michael and John," she blurted out while staring blankly at the table napkins.

Mrs. Darling heard Wendy's low remark as she was placing the freshly baked bread and butter on the table. "Do you want to wake them up?"

Every thud of her feet on the stairs was reciprocating the drumbeats of Wendy's heart as she climb the stairs up to her brother's room. She really missed her naughty brothers, how they used to laugh around telling pirate jokes in dinner.

She stopped near the door, before knocking slowly on the old dark brown colored door of the room.

No one answered.

"They couldn't still be sleeping at this hour, are they?" wika niya sabay katok ulit ng pinto.

"They have been lazy while I was sick."

"What's with that face, sweety?" she said, trying to suppressed her laughter in the most graceful way possible.

"They won't answer me," she snapped, rolling her eyes in the process.

"I know it was here somwhere," pagsasalita ni Mrs. Darling sa sarili.

"Here, open the door and wake those boys now. I don't want you all to get late for class."

"Aye, aye, Mommy!" she said hurriedly climbing up the stairs.
