The rythm of the drum or heartbeat
The shatter of glass or heartbreak
Adding cacophony to
The well orchestrated universal hum
The dull notes leaking through walls
Bleeding red through red-brown bricks
Finding you through any shield
Seeping in to calm the throbbing sore
Do you understand it?
Not directly, but you sure feel it
Across infinite barriers
The string of notes
Sometimes with words blended in
The literal language intermingled
With universal language
Melody bringing inner peace
Through highs and lows
In throngs and in solitude
Through work and each lazy moments
Like blood through veins
A plethora of genres
A myriad of notes
Infinite combinations
Yet none like another
Slowly bleeding in
Through a bleeding cut
No more ooze
Throbbing to the beat
Comfort and healing
Anyone - whoever, wherever, whenever
All you'll ever need
In smile or when it turns upside down
