Tears aren't always a major torrent
Most of the destructive force
Is the emotion that lies behind
Even the most delicate dropTear stained cheeks
Tear stained pillows
Tear stained pages
And stories drowned deepPainful to heave them out
Painful to wash them with tears
Painful to even think of them
The things you don't forgetForgetful of essentials
Forgetful of good times
Forgetful of academics
Never to forget one unit of painIt's not easy to fathom
It's not easy to ignore
It's the stories untold that
You recall with every other blowOne to the cheek another to the nose
One to the gut followed by more
That final stab right in the chest
Was it the lung or the heartIt ends in this way as if forever
Only to haunt us with the next pains
Like another charm to a bracelet
Another weight to shake the balanceFire through ice
One rotten fruit to another
Like a sort of relay
Tainting aesthetics of good memoriesThe scrape and smell of a matchstick
The growing embers
Gnawing and licking your page
Alas remains embers among ashesAnother day it gets too heavy
Even mundane stuff making you snap
Not the vulnerable, but a monster
Your worst fears brought out to lightP.s. if this feels like an incomplete story... it's intended... because that's what it is, a cycle, just like the water cycle.
