I haven't known you long nor deep
What began over shared likes
Grew through even more similarities
Neither backing down in the dms
Showering affection back and forth
Anyything was a valid topic with you
Even you leave this link
The promise holds
One day we will watch the stars
When time zones won't stop us
Nor any distance
You've been an amazing friend
Both lighthearted and deep
Bubble of inspiration that won't pop
Not on my watch - Ever
A legit sweetheart with obvious skills
But from experience life comes
It messes up things
And sometimes makes you have to
Let go of what you love
I still want you to keep writing
At least for yourself
Even if just one line - one rhyme
Don't completely let go of it
Or anything you love
Take your steps, you're powerful
Don't let yourself go
Even if you fade, precious star
I'll remember you're there
I'll just need a new angle
Because the distance is
Only one dimensional
But I feel the warmth within
And all these memories are
Multidimensional
I'll not let go of that
Not one little memory
Have a safe trip, lil' star
I feel it - I know it
You'll go really far!
And I'll still be watching you
Happy for ya
No matter which path you choose
And take flight
Our paths will run along
We're acquainted for life.
Now spread those wings
Take a deep breath
When you let it go
Sail the wind
Wind that is invisible until it passes
Between your beautiful feathers
You don't need a weighted crown
It shows in a bright sheen
From right within!
