I don't really get it
How people are most often
Extremely materialistic
They would value thing over them
Even when I think of someone
Someone unattainable
I'd never get a "thing" in their tangent

So you'd expect me to ne surrounded
By people as diverse as snowflakes
No two alike
And yes, but unlike your imagination
The proximity is varied and
Not everyone is close

Time may also change how far
I may move you to or away
Yet there are those unexpected gems
They who just creep in
Not fast, but right on time
Those who end up there
When you didn't know you needed

There are probably some people
A handful I could list
But some tend to stand out
They feel it mutually
They are a perfect flake to you
As you are to them
I realized that when I talk to you

Honestly it will never stick just one
But remember I'm glad I've met you
Wether we've hugged or never
Wether we've always agreed or not
Some flakes end up unseen
Hidden in mounds of snow
Melting away later

If that's you I want you to say it
If someone makes you smile
Let them know and they'll smile
Some people are magical
They make the ice you feel
Feel warm
They expose the true you

If you are down,
Who do you flock to?
In a heartbeat,
Who do you think of?
Let that someone know
How much they mean to you
And how much they make you, you

Not many people actually realise
That you wouldn't be okay
If not for them
It's best if you let them know
I think its overdue for you
And I'm sorry, but
You guys mean the world to me

Some people are truly worth smiling for
