𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐀 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐎𝐧𝐞

Betty's POV

"What?" I breathe.

I back away from her, feeling so betrayed.

"Betty, not only that, we've... we've been hooking up since you left Riverdale. Even when you started dating."

I feel some tears leave my eyes. I look down at my lap, regretting ever giving him a second chance, a third chance, ever giving him a chance.

"Betty, I'm so sorry. I should've stopped it and told you, but I didn't and that's on me."

"You're right, Toni. It is your fault, and I'm mad at you, but... I'm more mad at him."

I get up and walk up to his office. I see him sitting at his desk, on his phone.

"Jughead, if you don't look at me right the hell now," I threaten.

He looks up at me, confused. "Yeah, what is it, betts?"

I chuckle, and then begin to sob. "I know you've been hooking up with Toni since I left," I admit.

He looks so shocked. "How the fuck– who told– I'm sorry!"

I chuckle. "You're sorry? So fucking my best friend just deserves an, 'I'm sorry,'?"

"Betty, please..."

I smile at him. "No. Tell me how it started. I want to know everything..."

He sighs. "Please—"

"Fuck, jughead! If you don't tell em what the fuck happened, I will fucking—"

"Okay! Okay, I get it," he sighs, "I just want you to know that I do really love you, everything I've felt for you has been real," he starts.

"When you left I was really torn up, Toni was there to comfort. One thing led to another, and I kissed her. Biggest mistake of my life. That night we hooked up. Betty, you can't blame us for that one night. Sure, it was a low swing, but we weren't dating yet. Anyway, it wasn't a one time thing, but it did only happen a couple of times after that. When you came back... and we started dating... me and Toni didn't stop. We should've, but we didn't."

I sob. I put my hand over my mouth, scared of what I might say. "Jughead, I understand that we're young, I understand that we're going to have relationship that are rocky, I know that it would be abnormal to have a perfect relationship at our age. Hell, at any age it would be abnormal! But the fact that you were still doing it after we got together... you fucking cheated on me, on ginger, who else knows how many other girls you did this to!"

"Don't forget that your best friend didn't stop it either!"

"Jughead, the love of my life and my best friend cheated!" I scream, probably loud enough to be heard downstairs.

I run down the stairs, sobbing, definitely grabbing attention. I run up to Toni who is now behind the bar. I yank her by her shoulder and turn her to face me. I then slap her. I hear a couple of people gasp. I then run out of the bar, hearing a couple of people following behind me.

I run trying to get on my bike, but am suddenly grabbed by arms wrapped around my waist, lifting me up from behind.

I start kicking. "Let me go, let me go!"

"Betty, calm down, calm down," sweetpea shushes.

I stop kicking, but am still crying. Sweetpea sets me free to the ground but doesn't remove his arms. Suddenly, my legs give out and I fall to my knees.

"Whatever Jones did, I'm going to fucking kill him," fangs says.

"Well, you better be willing to kill Toni too," I say, sarcastically.

"What did she do? I saw you slap her but—"

"She and Jones cheated," I cut him off.

They all go silent.

"Toni... I thought—"

"Her and Cheryl broke up. I'm guessing cause she find out.  I'm also guessing she threatened to tell me but Toni somehow stopped her."

They all go silent and sweetpea lets me go. He turns me around so that I'm facing him. He wraps his arms around me.

"Betty, I'm so, so sorry," sweetpea says.

I hesitantly wrap my arms around him. Me and sweetpea have grown apart since we've let jones in. He knew he would hurt me, I should've listened.

I then hold onto him like my life depends on it. "Sweetpea, I'm so sorry," I sob.

"Hey, it's okay. You have nothing to be sorry for."

I then look up and see fangs angrily walking inside.

"Oh, shit," I say, hurrying to get up.

I run inside him arguing with Toni. Him and her have always been close, they never argue, but he's mad right now.

I then see sweetpea walk up the stairs and into Jones' office. "Oh, fuck," I whisper as I run after him.

I understand that they care about me, but I still care about them. I should hate them both, but Toni has been my best friend forever, and jughead is the love of my life. I love them both.

I walk inside to see sweetpea and Jones arguing. Thank god it hasn't gotten physical yet.

"Sweetpea, please don't," I whisper.

"Betty, I'm sorry, but he a fucking asshole. I don't care if he's the leader, I'll tear him apart."

"Sweetpea, I'm the leader too. You can't hurt one of your own," I sigh.

"Look at me," I say to sweetpea, "I should hate him and Toni, but I love them both. Please, do not hurt him."

He pauses for a second, before clenching his fist and sighing. "I'm only going to let you live cause she loves you."

Thank god!

He then walks out to the downstairs.

"Did you really have to tell everyone, betts?"

"I've told two people, and those two people are my best friends, so why don't you go fuck them?"

I angrily leave his office, and making my way down the stairs.

I head home on my bike. Sweetpea offered to drive me in his truck, but I told him no.

When I arrive home I hop into bed as soon as I can and cry myself to sleep.

A/N: I'm kinda recreating of the decision of making them cheat NOW. They were always going to cheat in every story line I came up with, but I decided to do it earlier. I have the ending in my head, I have some other things I want to do, but other than that I'm LOST. Also go check out my one shot book if you haven't already. Still working on that smut.
