𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫: 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐖𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤

Betty's POV

"What do you mean," I ask them.

Me and Jughead stand up from the couch to face them. All of the bar is listening in.

"The Ghoulies, Jug, they found out about you being the leader of the Serpents. They're terrorizing some Southside trailer parks. Serpent territory trailer parks," F.P. says.

"What do you mean terrorizing? How bad are they acting? Who's leading them?" Jughead asks.

"They are rioting, burning down trailer with people inside. We heard that they have guns. And... Malachai and Penny are doing this."

"Malachai and Penny?! Those two sadistic freaks? Oh, my god. We gotta go, betts," he tells we, running into our office.

"Boy, it's too dangerous for her!" F.P. yells.

"You don't know her, she's strong. I can't do it without her there," he says walking into our office.

I run up to our office and walk inside to see Jughead explaining something to Jelly.

"Jones, what—"

"Betts, there's no time to explain, but Malachai and Penny will do whatever it takes to ruin my life. It's a long story, but you need to get all of the Serpents and tell them that we're going to be fighting a war tonight."

So that's what I did. I went downstairs and informed everyone that we were going to be engaging in a Gang war tonight. A gang war between a gang we didn't know existed anymore.

We all loaded up and got on our bikes, following F.P. and Tall Boy who were in cars.

When we arrive at the trailer park, it was in flames. You could hear people screaming and see people running for their lives.

We immediately park and hop off of our bikes. Jughead walks up to me. "Listen, I know we've talked about this already, but we need to tell the Serpents that we will do whatever it takes to keep each other safe."

"I know, Jug—"

"No, you don't. Listen, I can't lose you again. I can't lose any of the people. You need to protect yourself and others, understand?"

He looked so helpless his eyes were weak and filled with tears, he was trying so hard to stay strong when really he was just a young, scared boy behind this big, bad gang leader.

"Okay, Jughead. I understand."

He nods. "Good," he kisses my forehead before walking off to his dad.

I walk over to Toni who is standing with Jellybean. "Listen, I know you were told to fight, but you stay with Jellybean, okay? Jughead cant lose her," I tell her.

"I thought you said we all had to fight tonight?"

"I did... but Jughead, he can't take another heartbreak. Please, just protect yourself and Jellybean."

She hesitates but nods anyway.

I squat down a little to be at Jellybean's height. I kiss her forehead. "You're gonna stay here, okay? No matter what you do not go in there. If something happens and Toni leaves for some reason, you stay where you are but you do not go inside. If we tell you to run, you run. Understand?" I ask sternly.
