Once Byungchan was asleep, I tip-toed out the room. The phone read 9:10am and I was late to meet Subin at our usual spot.

We hadn't planned on meeting there, but that was the only time I was sure I would run into him.

I approached slowly hoping maybe he was late too, but he was no where to be found. I should of known then that today would be a long day.

I showered quickly, fearing Byungchan would wake up and find himself alone in my room. Byungchan wasn't in any danger, but my room and my personal belongings were. See, my best friend was a walking accident waiting to happen. Things just seemed to break when he was around.

When I returned to my room, Byungchan was no were to be found. Only a note that laid on my nightstand that read :

Went out, be back soon.
-love, Byungchan

Although the note was short, It brought a smile to my face. Byungchan was the only person I had ever shown me such kindness. He always made sure I felt loved; And he made sure I remembered to love myself a little more too.

As I made my way out the door, I made sure I grabbed my cellphone. What I didn't quite remember was the set of keys on the table.

Who knew a set of keys would start a chain of events that would eventually lead to my new obsession.
