(COMPLETED) Mao Mao x Reader Oneshots

Today was pretty peaceful so far, Mao Mao was shining his sword, Adorabat and Badgerclops were eating snacks, and I was playing Alien Crossing. Everyone was sitting on the couch and I was sitting on the floor in front of Mao Mao.

"AH!" I yelp when a soft ring interrupts the silence "THE MONSTER ALARM!" Adorabat yells, making me and Badgerclops look at the alarm "Nope." I say, going back to playing "Is that a different alarm?"Adorabat asks. Mao Mao gently crawls over me "Don't worry about that guys, it's just our home phone....I better take this..." He chuckles nervously "Wait-home phones still exist?" I ask as he walks out the room. Badgerclops, Adorabat, and I follow Mao Mao and stop at the door.

"Hello? Oh hey Mom," Mao Mao says, Badgerclops and I look at each other "What? F-father, he? Oh....this is so sudden....y-yes. Of course, ok. Yeah....you too, bye." Mao Mao hangs up the phone and I carefully walk up to him "Are you ok?" I ask softly, opening my arms to hug him. Mao Mao automatically accepts the hug "Yeah....it just that my father is...." Mao Mao says "Coming to visit." The second after he said that, there's hard knocking at the door. I feel a sudden sense of panic. "Where are you son? Hiding around in this little play house, are ya?" A deep voice says "You're dad is here?" I ask nervously, Mao Mao nod. "Does he know about us?" I ask "Well you see," Mao Mao says nervously "I think that's why he wanted to visit..." My eyes widen "Nope!" I say, walking into the bedroom so I can hide. "(Y/N), if you go in there, no cuddles for a month!" Mao Mao warns.

I stop in my tracks "You wouldn't." I scoff "I....ok, you're right, but you're still staying with me." Mao Mao sighs before grabbing my hand and dragging me back towards the front door "I hope it's not a daddy! Daddies freak me out!" Badgerclops says nervously "Same..." I shudder, Mao Mao elbows me "That's a lie." He says. I kiss his cheek "I'm just playing along, Kit-Kat." I giggle before Mao Mao pulls me into a real kiss.

A golden fist breaks through one of the doors and comes clean off, making me pull away from Mao Mao. I pulled away to fast and Mao Mao accidentally bit my lip "Ah! Sorry." He whispers "It's fine." I whisper back before turning my attention back to the broken door.

"They don't make door like they used to....HAHA!" The larger cat laughs. I stare up at him nervously as Mao Mao walks over to him and bows "Father, I greet you." Mao Mao says. The cat laughs again before patting Mao Mao's back "What are you doing, boy? You can't get any closer to the ground than you are!" He says, Mao Mao has blank look on his face before the cat picks up Mao Mao's sword "Isn't this the glow-stick I gave you..." The cat asks, studying Mao Mao's sword before laughing "I can't believe you held on to this toy!" Mao Mao jumps up and grabs the swords back.

"Papa, I told you many times! Her name is Geraldine-and she is the blade everlasting light!" Mao Mao says. I notice that Mao Mao's voice was cracking and I awkwardly step forward 'Here goes nothing....' I mentally sigh as the cat looks at me. "Oh, what do we have here?" He asks, studying me "Are you gonna introduce me to your girlfriend and your friends? I'm Shin Mao." Shin holds his hand out and Adorabat goes to reach it "I'm Adorabat-" She says before falling to the ground because Shin moved his hand away 'Why was I so nervous to meet this guy? He's a jerk.' I think frowning. Shin looks at Badgerclops "And who's this fellow? He's certainly bigger than the rest." He says.

Badgerclops smiles "Hey man, I'm Badgerclops!" He says happily before Shin walks away "Not that bigger..."  Shin says. "Uh...I'm sad now..." Badgerclops says, I pat his shoulder before it's my turn to be hurt emotional or physically. "Ah, you must be (Y/N)," Shin says, studying me again "Hey what happened to your lip?" I look to see that my lip's bleeding "Nothing." I say with a shrug. I see Mao Mao flashing me a concerned look before standing next to me "I was honestly surprised when I heard that Moo Maw had a girlfriend." Shin chuckles. I glare at him "I'm honestly surprised that you're still married...." I grumble underneath my breath. Mao Mao is the only person who heard me "(Y/N)..." He sighs quietly.
