My life went on normally. Wala namang nagbago bukod sa palaging nakadikit sa akin si Sean.

Sa tuwing wala akong flight ay gumagawa talaga siya ng paraan so he can stick beside me. Hindi ko alam pero napansin kong habang tumatagal ay mas nagiging clingy siya lalo and I'm not complaining.

"Hug?" he asked me.

His eyes were still closed because he had just woken up. He fell asleep last night while we were watching a movie and I didn't wake him up anymore.

I extended my arms on him to give him a hug. He quickly came to me and because of his aggressive hug, my back leaned against the backrest of the sofa.

"Clingy mo, ah?" natatawang tanong ko habang bahagyang sinusuklyan ang buhok niya gamit ang daliri ko.

"Love..." he called me, his eyes still closed. "Can I ask you a question?"

"You're already asking me na," I laughed.

He opened his eyes before carefully reaching for my hand. He kissed it softly before intertwining our fingers.

"Theo's planning to get married on December, too," he stated. "What are your thoughts about... marrying me next year?"

"Next year?" Bahagya akong napaisip. "Naka-schedule ba ang kasal niyong magpipinsan yearly?"

Sumimangot siya dahil sa pang-aasar na ginawa ko kaya naman mas lalo akong natawa. I squeezed his cheeks before showering him kisses.

Sean took a deep breath. He reached for my hand again to intertwine our fingers.

"I was wondering how you feel about marriage."

"Marriage?" I chuckled nervously, scratching the back of my head. "That's a big step, love. But, I've gotta admit, the thought has crossed my mind too."

"Really?" Bahagya siyang nag-angat ng tingin sa akin dahil nakahiga na siya ngayon sa lap ko. "I'm sorry. I know I've been talking about marriage every now and then. I don't want to pressure you or anything, but I love us, and I can't help but imagine a future together."

I nodded at him. "Marriage, though... it's a big commitment. What do you think it means for us?"

Umayos siya sa pagkakahiga bago sinalubong ang tingin ko. "I see it as a partnership, a journey we embark on together. Facing challenges hand in hand, celebrating victories, and creating a life that's uniquely ours."

"Do you really love me that you're really willing to spend the rest of your life with me?"

Napabangon siya mula sa pagkakahiga dahil sa naging tanong ko.

"Am I not being obvious here?" takang tanong niya. "I love you, okay? and I can't picture myself being with somebody else aside from you."

I can't help but to feel mixed emotions. Kakagising lang namin pareho pero heto kami ngayon sa living room at nag-uusap tungkol sa pagpapakasal.

Sean took a deep breath and looked into my eyes with sincerity. "That's why I've been asking for your opinion earlier. What are your thoughts about marrying me next year?" he repeated his question.

"Next year? Sean, are you really serious?"

Sean chuckled nervously, his thumb gently rubbing circles on my hand.

"I am, love. I know it might seem sudden, but I've never been more sure about anything in my life. I love you, Av, and I can't imagine spending another year without making you my wife."

My heart fluttered with joy. Alam ko naman iyon but hearing it directly from him feels different.

"W-well, next year sounds like a dream come true."
