"Where are you going? It's Saturday."
"May meeting po kami for the upcoming freshmen week.
"How was the party last night?" they asked me habang hinahanda ko ang laptop.
I sighed. "As usual... maintaining the illusion of the perfect family throughout the party," tamad na sagot ko.
We gathered around the table and continued discussing our plans for the freshmen week. We only have a week to prepare dahil sa monday na ang start ng classes at kasabay no'n ang paghe-held ng freshmen week.
"Let's create flyers, social media event pages, and emails to ensure all freshmen are informed about the activities," sabi ni Leizie.
"Would you like to lead that?" tanong ko.
"Okay lang naman. I'll coordinate with everyone to gather all the necessary information for the promotional materials," she giggled.
"How about the supplies and decorations? Sinong in charge?" I asked again.
"Don't forget about feedback forms. Let's create a simple feedback system so we can gather suggestions and ideas from the freshmen after each event," sabi ni Nova habang abala sa kanyang cellphone.
"We already finalized everything. Here is the activity plan. As for the themed party, we'll be having the retro theme. Also, let's set up a contact list with emergency numbers and key contacts in case of any unforeseen situations during the events."
The next following days ay nasa University na kami para ihanda ang mga gagamitin at para na rin ma-monitor iyong mga booths and other activities na gagawin namin.
"I'm looking forward for this year's freshmen week," sabi ni Mr. Agoncillo sa amin, iyong student coordinator ng RU.
He was the one who was assigned to take this part. May mga Council of Leaders naman na pwedeng gumawa nito but he personally chose us to lead this event that's why can't afford to disappoint him.
It is their way to welcome the students and make them feel that they chose the right University.
When Wednesday came, we decided to meet at the cafeteria for a short meeting.
"Zayd, how's the campus tour and welcome lunch coming along?" I asked him.
"The campus tour is all set. Nagawan na namin ng map 'yong route and we also prepared some fun trivia questions para hindi sila ma-boring. The cafeteria is also ready for the welcome lunch."
