Chapter 17

Naruto's P.O.V.

As me, Shikamaru, Kiba, Akamaru and Hiromichi made our way back the the village something came to my mind.

"Shikamaru, Kiba. When we out on the mission and we split up into two teams, didn't a land of greens guard go with you too?" I wondered.

As we were running Kiba didn't bother to look at me, he frowned and looked down at the ground.

"Unfortunately...he didn't make it." Shikamaru replied.

"Oh..." I sighed and frowned, "If only I wasn't caught up in that genjutsu."

"It wouldn't have made a difference...he was caught under a genjutsu before we even met up with you, Hiromichi and Katsuo. And...there was nothing we could do." Kiba said.

"That's quite unfortunate." Hiromichi bumped into the conversation.

I nodded, "Yeah." 

We finally made it back to the Leaf village after hours of running. We were greeted by the shinobi on duty. We headed straight for Kakashi sensei's office and told him everything about the mission. Each person told their side story of what happened. I didn't have too much to say because I was under that stupid genjutsu for a very long time. Eventually I explained how I think that the Nakamura clan are hidden mist rogues because of the headband that their leader-or we think their leader had. I showed Kakashi sensei the headband and he said that he would send Ibiki Morino (ya know, the guy who tortures people to get them to talk? He was also the proctor of the first chunin exams I took) to go see the Nakamura clan's leader that we put in prison. He would easily be able to get him to talk. He was also going to talk about it to the Mizukage.

We were done explaining everything to Kakashi sensei around 11:45 pm. Hiromichi said that he was going to go home and see his nephew. Kiba suggested that we should have a little 'mission accomplished party' at the BBQ place tomorrow night. Shikamaru and I agreed.

"That would be nice," Shikamaru started. "Not only for a mission accomplished kind of thing, but it's also been a while since the whole gang has got together. I think going to get some BBQ tomorrow would be a great opportunity for everyone to catch up."

I nodded, "Yeah it has been a while hasn't? Since everyone's got together."

"Yah, because we're all busy nowadays. Right Akamaru?" Kiba agreed looking at Akamaru and he barked in response. 

"Although it's a real drag, I'll ask everybody tomorrow between the morning and afternoon. It's already too late, so tomorrow would be better to ask." Shikamaru sighed. "We'll have the BBQ for supper, not lunch."

"Alright!" I exclaimed.

Kiba, Shikamaru and I went to our houses looking forward for tomorrow. I went inside my house, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, and got change since my clothes were pretty dirty.

I sat down on my bed and remembered the last few things Katsuo said to me.

"You should propose to your girlfriend. If she really loves you, then she'll say yes. Even if you don't have a ring."

"Because the ring is just proof?" 

"Yeah... Because the ring is just proof." 

I thought about it over and over again. Katsuo was a really great guy and when I first met him, I would have never thought he was such a love expert. 

"I wonder how his proposal went?" I asked myself and then laughed. "I bet he's going to start preparing a wedding tomorrow."

I got off my bed and went to look out my window. I looked at the great stone faces. From the first Hokage, Hashirama Senju, to the sixth, Kakashi sensei. Then, I looked at the fourth, my dad.

Dad...Should I?...If I should, then when and how? I thought. It's the first time I've been in this kind of situation and I didn't know really know how to approach it.

I decided that I would just worry about it tomorrow, and for now, I would get some sleep. I walked over back to my bed and lid down. I sighed as I shut my eyes and let sleep take over.
